Father's Day gift

Good Morning!

Here is one of the projects we made at my May Clubs. It is a photo album using the SU clear envelopes! I saw this idea on the cruise and LOVED it! Its such a versatile idea as you could do this idea for Christmas cards, child's friends, teacher gift etc.....

I used the office hardware to hold it together but the sample on the cruise used ribbon which made it more feminine looking. Because this was for a man I chose to use the hardware, plus some Notations designer paper and the soon to be retired Artifacts stamp set to name a few.

Brown bag card

Hello there!
TGIF! I love weekends. So glad its friday.

Here is one of the projects we made at my clubs this month.
You use a portion of a brown lunch bag and that is the pocket where you put your sentiment....
I used a stamp from Office Accroutrements and wrote a 'coupon type idea' for Father's Day. I used the set Natural Beauty which is retiring as well as Cranberry Crisp since it is one of the In Colours retiring as well.

This was alot of fun and the possiblities are endless. You could put gift cards inside, a packet of tea etc....

Make n Take at my team meeting

Hi there!

Wow, what a great day! It reached 28 degrees today!! I love it and I'm sad to read that rain is on the way....

I planted a herb garden today - Parsley, Oregano, Cilantro and Garlic Chives. Yummm looking forward to using them!

We also have zuchinni, cherry tomatoes and rhubarb.

We are going to be buying some blueberry and raspberry bushes this Sunday at the local Flea market so will have those going in a few years....double yum!

Anyway....onto the pic! Here is a card we made last week at my downline meeting. It is a 6x6 card and we used the new designer paper from the upcoming catalog. The promotion is called 'Palette O' Prints' and can be found on my webpage

After punching out the circle on the lower right we stamped the flower in Versamark and embossed with Detail White EP. Next covered with Crystal Effects and right away placed a coordinating button in the middle. Let set overnight.

Thank you to who ever's display card I saw on the cruise with this idea!! I loved it!

I have loved reading all your comments you left on my last Mother's Day post. Its kinda scary opening myself up to 'non stamping' related issues but it is all worth it if my entry touched one person.

Triangle Trifold card

Hello!

Can you say excited!!!! I can't believe we leave early friday morn for the Stampin' Up! cruise! Its like the wait of a pregnancy.....I"ve waited 9 months for this time to come!!! Anyway i'm super excited to get away with my hubby. We havn't had a holiday alone since we started our family over 8 years ago. WOW, we'll be able to eat our food while its warm LOL!!

Anyway here's one of the projects we did at my club last night. The Big Blooms flower is embossed with Irridescent Ice. Also used the 1/2'' circle punch to punch out a circle of Au Chocolat. I took my tempting turquoise marker and coloured in a few of the circles on the Au Chocolat paper as well....just to add a splash of colour.

Big Blooms

Hi there!!!

Sorry I've been MIA. Its been a busy week with clubs, classes and getting swaps done for the cruise.

I wanted to made some thank you cards so today I was able to sit down and make these fun mini cards. They are 1/4 sheet of choc chip c/s folded in half. I used Taken With Teal craft ink and heat embossed with Irridescent Ice EP but its hard to make out the sparkle on a scan. Much prettier IRL.

The sun is shining so I've also been outside alot more too. Tonight I have 2 friends over for Mikayla and Megan so I have 5 little girls here. I just set up a movie - Barbie Mermadia so that's why I'm able to upload here on my blog. Now to make popcorn for the crew!

I had alot of fun at my 30 cards for $30 class this past week. It went really smoothly and everyone left with a whole swack of cards. If you'd like a visual of the cards please visit my downline Sarah as she has uploaded all the cards on her site. We prepped the class together so our cards were the same. Each gal got a kit with all the cardstock precut, a 'map' of how the cards look and to be put together and also all the pieces of the kit that we didn't even use. Hard to believe I'll be on the ship 2 weeks right now! Thank you to everyone that has helped make this a reality! Couldn't have done it without you!!!

March Make n Take

Good Evening!

Well Spring Break is upon us! Girls are off school for 2 weeks! I have the older 2 in swimming lessons every morning and next week they will go to a local VBS camp for the afternoon so that will be fun for them.

Here is the make n take we did at a workshop last saturday. I wanted the gals to try the watercolour pencil crayons and blender pens. They are so easy to use and are so much nicer then just plain colouring with pencil crayons.

I have a whack of organizing to do tonight. Had a ton of supplies out at my club on monday night so have to find their homes again and tidy up. I've been making head way on the swaps I"m doing for the cruise. HEY, 1 month today until we set sail!!!! How quick is that! After waiting since end of last June I can't believe its finally here! Hey, I just thought that its like a pregnancy with the timing. 9 months of waiting :)

On Board 5x5 Art Journal

Hello!

Today our wee Megan turned '7'!!! She's such a bundle of energy (always has been) and I love her for that! She's so much fun. She also has a very soft, sweet side and is always making sure everyone is ok. Her party with her friends isn't until March 23rd so will upload some pic's of her Cheerleading party then.

Here is a journal I altered a few days ago with my new Au Chocolat paper which I LOVE! I also used the new set That's Nice from the Spring Mini. Oh, and of course Office Accroutrements which I keep talking about. I'm debating about what to do with this journal as its got Very Vanilla cardstock in it so I want to use it for something special....its not just 'notepaper'. I was thinking of a gratitude journal, or prayer book....maybe even a scrapbook?

6x6 for March workshops

Hello!!!

Well I just had a super evening of stamping!! I had to plan my March workshops and it went pretty smoothly! I"ve had some ideas floating around in my head for a few weeks now so it was fun to put them to paper finally!

Here's a 6x6 I'm demo'ing. Used lots of new product from the Spring Mini catalog! Notations double-sided paper (p.15), Office Accoutrement (p.14), Round Tab Punch (p.17), Doodle Alphabet (p.19), Petals Jumbo Wheel (p.8). It was fun to scrapbook again....makes me realize how much I miss it! I really have to make some time to get going again....it's so rewarding!

Keep checking back often as I have a few projects I'll upload in the next day or 2. A 3D candy holder, also the Make n' Take for March workshops as well as a On Board 5x5 Art Journal I altered using the Au Chocolat paper!

Rock n Roll

Hello there!

Just wanted to share a card we did tonight at my club get together. We used the Polka Dots and Paisley stamp set and rock'd n rolled the flower. I loved using the white gel pen to accent the paisley images. I think i'll be making this card for one of my swaps for the SU cruise coming up. May tweak it a bit first though....ticket corner punch the artichoke layer as well.....Hard to make out but the dark colour is artichoke, as well as the card base.

Club was alot of fun tonight! This group of ladies are SO fun and I always end up smiling so much. I also learn alot....right ladies? All I can say is a Brazillian Wax sounds VERY painful.....LOL!

2 more swap cards

Good Evening!!!

Here are 2 swap cards that I received for our team swap.....The Polka Dots and Paisley card is from my downline Karlena W and the Glorious Gift's card was created by my 2nd line team member Andi E. I love both of these cards - they did an awesome job!

On a family note I had to take Kylie to pre admissions at the hospital today. Her surgery date is this friday so they wanted to weigh her, do her stats and go over the procedure that will be done on friday. I didn't realize she has to stay overnight so that really sucks! Its always nicer to be home in your own bed. She's having a adenectomy (removing adenoids) and tubes put in once again. Taking her adenoids out will reduce her ear infections the Dr says.... I'm just dreading this friday...I've been thru surgery with Megan before and I just feel like sobbing when you lay your child on the operating table, you hold them, comfort them as they are put under and then the dreaded words from the Dr...."ok, mom you can leave now. We'll come and talk to you when we're done." Then with a heavy heart you leave the room and leave your child in God's hands and the Dr's......and WAIT. If you think of Kylie and I please say a little prayer that all will go well and it will go smoothly.

I"ve created a few things these last few days but want my club members to see them first so will post them at a later date. I have to say I just LOVE the new designer paper in the Spring Mini!!! I love SU stays with trends and offers such amazing quality paper!

Anyway off to hit the hay, lots of ramblings...

Happy March 1st!
Y'know I was at the library yesterday and admiring the bulbs that were up - crocuses and daffodiles thinking 'oh, i'm so glad spring is almost here' and then tonight 'BAM', a blast of winter....again. SNOW, and lots of it. I just looked on the Weather Network site and its still saying 'trace' of snow so i'm not sure where they're getting their info....obviously not here on top of our Mountain :) We have at least 4 inches and its still really coming down. My girls are going to be soooo hyper in the morning when they see what's in store for them!

OK, onto stampin' stuff. Here is my card I made for a Spring Mini swap that i'm hosting - and due tomorrow. Its hard to make out but I used the linen stamp on the cool carribean. I'm really enjoying the Office Line in the Spring Mini....I've altered a few notebooks already and I just find having Office Accrutrements a very handy, different set. Its like nothing I have and I love how it can be used with scrapbooking, office type things, and cards. So our family survived the flu this week....! Kylie and Mikayla had it both last night...all night. I was busy going from room to room. Hit the hay around 4:30am or so. Then my poor hubby woke up with it so he lay in bed all day. (nice eh?) hmmmmmmm I don't remember being able to do that on monday when I had it as he was at work. (I kept all 3 girls home as it was so much easier) The joys of being a mom, I'm sure you can all relate. :) Are all men kinda like big babies when they're sick or just mine?

HEY, I"m excited to say I registered for the Vancouver Regionals today! Its going to be a super busy few weeks in April as Regionals is only 5 days after I get back from the SU cruise! Man, think of all the great ideas that are going to be exploding in my brain!!! I can't wait to share what I learn with you all!

Doodle That

Hello!

Well I had some fun stamping with my friend Rosella today.....planned some swap cards for my upcoming SU cruise. Also had a moment to play with my new Doodle That stamp set from the upcoming Spring Mini Catalog.

I got the inspiration from a card I saw on SCS by jeweleintn

I made my own stem and leaves on the main flower though as the set doesn't come with one. On the Word Window punch it reads 'mother'. I love using my Signo white gel pen to add stitching...really goes with the doodle look. Also used my aqua painter and Watercolour Crayons to colour in. I used Brodade Blue, Rose Red and Always Artichoke.

Lookie Lookie

Good Evening everyone!

I've sure enjoyed reading what everyone is doing on Valentine's Day! If you havn't entered my Blog Candy give-a-way see yesterday's post!

I dropped the girls off at their clubs tonight and was surprised to see a SU box on my doorstep when I got home! UPS sure came late as I left after 6pm! I was SO excited though as sure enough when I opened it up it was my preorder from the new Spring Mini that starts March 1st. I've attached a pic of what I got! Double sided decorative paper (2 different packs), a Doodle set and Alphabet and an Office type set that will be GREAT for scrapbooking and making gift items - like altered books, clipboards and coaster books! I also got a jumbo wheel and a level 1 hostess set. YIPPPEEE.....now to get the kiddies to bed soon so I can have some time to play!

Great day

Greetings!

Today was one of those days where its just a great day. The sun was shining (which here in BC is quite a rare thing during the winter - usually rain). My husband took our youngest on errands for a few hours this morning so I had the house to myself!! (again rare thing). I got alot accomplished during that time which feels good. After school went to the playground as a family....great but cold...brrrrrr. Went out to dinner at our fav Mexican restaurant just over the border...El Nopal. YUMMMM. Then whipped home so I could get the last minute stuff ready for my class tonight! I had the accordian scrapbook in a tin class tonight and it was alot of fun and the gals did amazing!!!!!! Such creativity flowing around! I felt quite not needed so I made this card while they were busy.....thanks to Louise ( www.alittlehouseontheprairie.blogspot.com for the inspiration for embossing black on black cardstock! Very cool effect! I used the free set we got from Shelli for Christmas. Its called Polka Dots and Paisley and is in the new upcoming Spring Mini catalog. Soooo I black embossed the paisley on the black c/s. Also white embossed the phrase. The flower is stamped on shimmery white c/s which is hard to make out in the scan. Used Cool Carribean as well for a splash of colour!
