my version of prima's

f

Hello!

One of my clubs ended their 9 month run this last saturday and here is a pic of the little goodie I gave each of them as a thank you. Each one is filled with brads and punched flowers from the Three for You flower punch. (on special as of August 1st, see my newsletter for more details!) Colours used for the tag were Purely Pomegranite and Groovy Guava...I love this colour combo!

The little jars I got at Ikea and they're actually salt n' pepper shakers. Very cute size though so they worked perfect!

We had a great time last night celebrating Chris's 40th birthday! We had some couples over and I rented a Kareoke machine!!! Everyone really got into it which was good and we had LOADS of laughs and fun! I"ll upload some pics soon....its the video I took though that is priceless!

Level 2 - Garden Silouette

Good Evening!
Here are 2 more cards from the swap I was in. Mine is on the right. I used the new Brocade Designer Paper. Really Rust, Blush Blossom and Groovy Guava. (love that combo!) The beautiful card on the left is created by Andi Enns. I just love the elegance of it and of course i'm a sucker for anything with glitter on it!
On a personal note its been quite a rollar coaster of emotions this weekend. I've heard of 2 different accidents this past week - both involving young men dying so young. Both leaving behind grieving wives and in one case 4 young children. My heart aches for these families and I'm praying for strength at this difficult, awful time.
With these gammot of emotions I also experience joy when my long time friend, Kelly phoned saying they've been chosen for a baby boy to adopt! I'm so excited for them and know they'll make wonderful parents!
So needless to say lots of tears this weekend. Please give everyone you love an extra big hug and kiss tonight as life is so short! Here are the lyrics to one of fav worship songs, not to mention one of my fav Christian bands, Casting Crowns.
Who Am I Lyrics
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
I am YoursI am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours
take care,
Kerry

cute ladybug and snug as a bug!

Hello!
Here is a 3x3 that we made at my July workshops and also at my team meeting I had last week. I love the versatility of the 'Pick a Petal' stamp set! I used the 'friend' stamp from the new set in the Three for You tin. The wings of the Ladybug are stamped using the polka dot petal stamp in Real Red.
On a family note we had a wonderful mini holiday away this past weekend. For my husbands bday I sorta surprised him with a weekend away at a Ranch/fishing cabin that we used to go to before we had our family. (so we're talking probably over 9 years ago!) We had wonderful weather - he fished all day saturday, and thankfully there was a heated inground pool for us girls! Spend many hours in that pool! I've included a pic of our girls on a queen size bed that they all shared! You'll notice even our dog came with us :) He's a 11 yr old Shih-Tzu named Bailey.
I'm going to update my photobucket with samples from my team cardfront swap so check it out on the left!

New Catalog Kick Off party was FUN!

Good Morning!
Well I'm still flying high after a fun evening last night!
I had 20 woman attend my New Catalog Kick Off Party last night and it went really well. The Silent Auction was a hoot - as everyone had a 'code' name so no one would know who was who when they put their name down and outbid someone else. Only at the end did one gal demand to know who a certain code name was - it was hilirious! All in all though I think everyone got the retired goodies they wanted. AND I made alot of room for new stuff now that many sets and accessories were taken.
I'll post a list later of what I have left in case anyone reading this blog is interested in what I have.
Here is one of the Make N Take's that they made last night. Another great way to use the verstaile 'Pick a Petal' stamp set. With my clubs this month we're making the lady bug with Pick a Petal so I thought it was appropriate to make another cute bug with it! Colours used were Brocade Blue, Choc Chip, Artichoke (main cardstock for card, hard to tell in the pic) and River Rock.
I think everyone enjoyed making Sundae's or Floats too. I heard quite a few woman mention they couldn't remember the last time they had had a 'make your own sundae' or a rootbeer float. (also had coke and cream soda for choices) It really hit the spot on this warm, sunny evening, that's for sure!
Congratulations to everyone that won doorprizes as well!
Anyway, thank you to everyone that came out. You all made my day and made me realize even more how much I love what I do and love sharing with you all!
Stampingly yours,
Kerry

I've been tagged!

Summer Greetings!

Well our company from Winnipeg left last night. It was a great week and I really enjoyed having my friend, Heloise, her husband Reynold and their 3 boys. It was like the Brady Bunch with 3 girls (mine) and her 3 boys. All roughly the same ages too! It was great to have another adult woman to talk to during the day and we had alot of fun going to the beach among other things.
We are also having a HUGE heat wave here, and yesterday we broke a record! 38 degree's! (106 degrees for my American friends)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our home doesn't have a/c (usually not needed too much here in B.C.) but i'm sure wishing we had it now!!!
I have my New Catalog Kick Off Party tonight so trying to keep the house cooler so I have all the drapes, blinds and windows shut! I"ll open them later as it cools down, thankfully its not quite as hot as yesterday!

OK, onto other things! I've been tagged by a wonderful gal I met on the cruise and who I admire her stampin' creations so much! You can visit her blog here . Her name is Patty Bennett from California.

I'm supposed to say 7 things about myself: (and then pass this onto 7 more people)

-I was born in Toronto, Ontario and moved here when I was 14. (to B.C.)
-my family moved next door to my future husband! (we were friends first, then started dating and we've been together almost 20 years! (15 years married on August 1st)
-Adoption is a big part of our family. My husband, 2 of my girls and my nephew are all adopted!
-I worked in the dental field for 15 years
-I still have a baby tooth (molar)
-I straighten my hair every day (its very curly)
-we have a Shih-Tzu named Bailey who is 11 years old

There you have it. A little something about me.....now its my turn to pass it on! Here's who I'm tagging:
