DESSERTs & more sneak peeks

Hello!

Well its the end of my first week back. I must admit its been a tough week..hard to get back into routine. Doesn't help when it non stops rains and is grey out. Hoping for some sunshine this weekend which always improves morale around here :)

OK, here are is a super cool new chipboard pkg and a stamp set that was created to coordinate with it. Its called Pick a Petal. In the flower pot picture they used the new chipboard and stamp set and arranged it in one of the Chinese take out boxes available in the Idea Book and Catalog. Its filled with Jelly Bellies.
The other picture is of the Dessert Extravaganza held last friday night. It started at 10:30pm and went until midnight. It was just amazing and was held outdoors on the Lido deck. I loved the fruit shishkabob dipped in the white or milk chocolate fountain. YUUUMMM. Also had a Crepe Suzette made right before my eyes.....I loved those as they were light and warm.
Anyway my 'grandma' upline Val is due here in a few hours. She's coming here from Vernon and spending the weekend with us. Joining myself and my team to Vancouver Regionals tomorrow at Canada Place Convention Centre. I am so excited to go to another SU event!!! Another new catalog stamp set I"ll get tomorrow and hopefully a ton more ideas to boot! There are 10 of us going which will make for a fun group! Going out for dinner afterwards...if any of you have any suggestions please leave a comment. We're pretty open.....maybe get out of the city a bit though as we will have 3 cars with us all.
Have a great weekend! Happy Stampin'

Sneak Peeks

HELLLLOOOO!!!!
Well as promised here are a few pic's of some sneak peeks that I saw on board the ship! The demonstrations using these new products were awesome! Especially the new 3 in a row punch in a tin set! It comes with 3 ink spots, the punch and 9 stamps! I loved what she did with the polka dot stamp from this tin....can't wait to show y'all!!
The top right photo is a pic of the new In Colours that are available July 1st. That reminds me....for those of you that have fallen in love with the In Colours this year remember to stock up on the reinkers and paper as after June 30th you won't be able to purchase those items anymore.
The new colours are:
Wild Wasabi
Purely Pomegranite
Groovy Guava
Soft Sky
River Rock
Blue Bayou
and then a permanent addition of Basic Grey, (fits in with Basic Black and Basic Brown)
The top left photo is of a new addition of Rinestone brads - YIPPEE. Finally! They come in 2 colour combo's - Fire and Ice in either round or square sizes....
Well off to finish my dinner dishes.....sure got used to be spoiled last week....a girl could get used to that :)

Panama Canal

Hi there!
Here are 2 of my favourite pic's of the Panama Canal that we took.
After the beauty of the white sand beaches it was quite a contrast now going thru the lush rain forest of the canal. We were up at 6am to start the Canal sights so the one shot was taken quite early, when there was mist all around. It was so beautiful! One of our friends got a pic with some monkeys in the trees so will have to get it from her! The other pic you can see a cruise ship that was going thru the locks ahead of us - they are raised already. It was an amazing experience and one i'll never forget. The weather got to 98 degrees that day so needless to say once we were thru the locks it was a 'by the pool, in the pool kinds of day'!!! I'm happy to report I didn't burn though...I used a 30 sunscreen all week which helped! Chris's poor legs are all peeling now as he burned quite a bit on the first day in Half Moon Cay.
Anyway off to bed...still feeling the time change effects....

Heaven on earth

Hello gals!!!

Well we arrived home late last night from a wonderful, wonderful relaxing holiday!

I had never been to the Bahama's/Aruba area before so my breath was swept away when I saw the beauty of this amazing Island! This is a pic of Holland America's private Island - Half Moon Cay. Another couple and Chris and I rented one of these cabana's for the day and even had butler service to boot! The sand was so fine, it felt like butter and the water so clear and warm. It was a perfect way to start our cruise as we went here the day after departure. (last sunday)

It was such a great week! (did I say that already LOL)....

I met so many great SU demo's from all accross Canada and the States. We had assigned seating for dinner with 3 fabulous couples. (hi Darcie, Leslie and Elaine!!!) I went to quite a few Stampin' Demonstrations and learned some great ideas and tidbits. Also rec'd a new stamp set from the upcoming catalog - watch for upcoming pic's coming soon of the make n take's we did. OH, and I could't believe it but I won a scavenger hunt prize the first day! I was given a tin of Hodge Podge Hardware - yippee!

OK, will post soon some more pic's. (I have 430 to choose from LOL!!) I'd say half at least are of stampin' ideas and projects though. I'm so excited to show my team and customers all the swaps I brought back with me too. I was very fortunate in that I love all the swaps I got!

Anyway back to the real world today. My grilled cheese sandwich at lunch just wasn't the same without an appetizer before it, and a decadent dessert following it.....waaaaaahhhhh I miss all that yummy food! oh, and my towel was still on the floor where I left it earlier! YUCK, I could get used to having a room steward :)

Don't forgot there are only a few days left to take advantage of the 'Say it With Words' Promotion where you get 20% off selected word stamps. See my website for more information on this great deal!

Talk soon,

Triangle Trifold card

Hello!
Can you say excited!!!! I can't believe we leave early friday morn for the Stampin' Up! cruise! Its like the wait of a pregnancy.....I"ve waited 9 months for this time to come!!! Anyway i'm super excited to get away with my hubby. We havn't had a holiday alone since we started our family over 8 years ago. WOW, we'll be able to eat our food while its warm LOL!!
Anyway here's one of the projects we did at my club last night. The Big Blooms flower is embossed with Irridescent Ice. Also used the 1/2'' circle punch to punch out a circle of Au Chocolat. I took my tempting turquoise marker and coloured in a few of the circles on the Au Chocolat paper as well....just to add a splash of colour.

Thank you

Hello!!
Sorry for the lack of new pic's etc...but it seems every spare moment I'm working on my swaps for cruise.
It also didn't help how our camera died the day after Megan's bday party last weekend. Happy to say we went and bought a new camera yesterday. A Canon Powershot. I'm really excited about the shutter speed....what I mean is that it can take pic's quite quickly back to back. Our last camera seemed to take forever until I could take another shot and by then the moment was lost :(
Anyway here is a card I was thrilled to receive from my DL that lives in Burns Lake. Thank you Karlena!
Have a great day,
