baby thank you's

Last week were away for a family holiday in Penticton. We rent a cabin with my parents every year on the lake there. I brought with me the needed supplies to make some much needed baby thank you cards while I was there. Amazingly enough I was able to finish what I brought with me! 33 cards ready to write in. Its hard to make out but I dry embossed the circle that the birdie is stamped on. It was so nice to sit on the deck outside and stamp. Now, to make the time to get all of them written and delivered! I was given such a wonderful baby shower from the ladies at my church and want to thank them for it!

I'll post holiday pic's next....

Megan's new 'do'

Hello!

Just wanted to share pic's of my beautiful daughter's new hairdo! She usually has a wild mane of frizzy/curly hair. (see what her hair used to look like here) Every morning there is usually tears as we struggle to get a brush thru it. Welllll today I asked her if she wanted a change. I've been thinking of this hairstyle for awhile now, and that it would suit her, and her hair. Got her an app't this afternoon and voila! LOVELY. Now, I realize I won't be able to spend 1/2 hr straightening her hair so I told her to really enjoy her hair today as it will be more back to normal again in a few days.....Its so shiny. She is such a proud peacock and so happy. I think it makes her look older than her 8 years though :(

My next post is stampin' related....

'For a Friend' class

Hello,
Hope you had a wonderful weekend! They go so fast, don't they?
Here are the cards the ladies made at my card class last week. Included in the class fee was their very own, brand new, mounted 'For a Friend' stamp set. I found it went quicker then usual since they didn't have to wait to use the stamps as much. (they each had their own to use). It was a great evening, and a nice break for me to have with some grown ups. Jacob had fun hanging out with Chris and the girls downstairs watching a movie!
Not sure if you can make out the dry embossing I did on the pumpkin/chocolate card. I LOVE dry embossing and I'm looking forward to seeing if there are any new brass templates in the upcoming catalog. (available Aug 10th).
I've got a busy few days ahead of us so hope you have a super week! Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. Happy Birthday to my dear husband today!!!! I remember helping his mom plan his surprise 21st birthday party....can you believe that was 20 years ago!!!! TIME FLIES!

I've been tagged..

I've been tagged by a wonderful fellow stamper I met on the Panama Canal Stampin' Up cruise just over a year ago...her name is Debbie and you can check out her blog here.
OK, so 7 random facts about moi!
1. I grew up in a suburb of Toronto and moved to Vancouver in 1986. Not happy at the time but what a wonderful outcome as I moved next door to my future husband!
2. Proud to say I've been with my husband for over 20 years! (I was just a wee 15 yr old when we started dating!....) Sticking my tongue out at the friends that said we'd never last as we were too young!!!!!!
3. I love lobster and crab and can never have enough but its such a treat as its so expensive!
4. I love music from the 80's.
5. Had back surgery in 1989 for a tethered cord. (form of Spina Bifida)
6. Love the colour pink - which is a good thing considering I have 3 daughters!!
7. Just finished reading the book 'The Shack'. Anyone read it???
Now to pick 7 others! I"ll make this easy and choose the blogs I have listed on the left hand of my page - my friends that I visit! Consider yourself tagged!!!!

YIPPEE new goodies are here!

Like I said in my previous post we were at the lake today. Well, I was so happy when we got home and my brown box was waiting for me! Inside were my new goodies from the upcoming new catalog, which is available August 11th. I LOVE the new In Colours. (the pic doesn't do them justice, you'll just have to see them in real life!) Anyway i'm finishing up prepping for my upcoming class and then I'm going to make time to play!

If you want to be on my list to receive a new Idea Book and Catalog once I have them please email me. If you're in a current club or joining my new one that's starting in September then you'll be receiving yours FREE!

Happy Stampin'

Rub-On Class

Hello!
I just wanted to share the projects that the ladies made at my rub-on class that I held last week. Each lady got their own package of the rub-ons which was included in the class fee. I enjoyed an evening with adults and I'm looking forward to my 'For a Friend' class this coming thursday.
We had a wonderful day at a local lake today. Beautiful weather, with a gorgeous breeze just made the day perfect. Mikayla is away at Horse Camp this week so its quite odd without her around. I miss her already and she's only been gone since last evening!!!
