I found the awesome link at Becky Higgins website for About Me journals. She has one for adults and one for teens....Anyway even though I loved the idea I wasn't sure about how to put the pages together....didn't want to pay to have them bound. Sooooo I was SUPER excited to find these binders at Staples that were the perfect size! Plus they had the area in the front to put a piece of paper in...so of course the girls had to personalize them! With all my Saleabration orders in Jan/Feb i've been ordering the Ice Cream parlour paper pack. That way each girl had their own sheet of 12x12 cardstock stickers and coordinating paper to match! I used my clear block and clear mount alphabet set for them to stamp their names. It came together very quickly (1 hr at the party) and they took the extras home and they could do the writing at home too. I believe its 27 pgs total. Each pg of my sample book (Kylie's) has some type of sticker on it too so the 1 pg was plenty!</div><div> </div><div>Hope you liked this idea,</div><div>Kerry<br /><br /></div><div></div>KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681491506137918948.post-17449353446577834632011-03-24T16:11:00.000-07:002011-03-24T16:11:01.042-07:00cute cute cuteGreetings!<br /><br />Still more pic's from Regionals...<br />These are adorable chocolate bar covers!!! SU really outdid themselves this time around as the projects were beautiful and we got to use many accessories. Its always fun to see them in real life before buying....<br />I LOVE the seam binding that is found on pg 16 as its so light and easy to work with. Also good if mailing as it doesn't weight down your card.<br /><br />I'll be posting some card fronts swaps that my fellow team members rec'd at Regionals next.<br /><br />Happy Stampin'<br />Kerry<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4uOFgamrX294xzRjB8LvS-3CTUc8gm90vnTHjtjvSAqjeLuSlHS3YpxfQCPuDxyxigdI9k2PKc8zPsvWguBiHQyUP6gy1XZ-lzuuWsJXhdbEvrNHwWyTbtheSGkUtdX-MaROj9xNiSETm/s1600/IMG_2037.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5581121838133892802" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4uOFgamrX294xzRjB8LvS-3CTUc8gm90vnTHjtjvSAqjeLuSlHS3YpxfQCPuDxyxigdI9k2PKc8zPsvWguBiHQyUP6gy1XZ-lzuuWsJXhdbEvrNHwWyTbtheSGkUtdX-MaROj9xNiSETm/s320/IMG_2037.jpg" /></a>KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681491506137918948.post-1773052647205470562011-03-13T16:00:00.000-07:002011-03-13T16:00:05.991-07:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsCaHPZ-pajPA-2o9syhy1t2_H8gI-V-vXsTAS_Kcoc63UYhQzYx9c1lN0smx1j8DTZfmWaXi3kQQtOXIxLKbQumUzghHh6w0XHaMcSE4haBvjwZNg5z-xREXKu5vstZI6fGVYUBhvxA8s/s1600/IMG_2041.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5581121282385723714" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsCaHPZ-pajPA-2o9syhy1t2_H8gI-V-vXsTAS_Kcoc63UYhQzYx9c1lN0smx1j8DTZfmWaXi3kQQtOXIxLKbQumUzghHh6w0XHaMcSE4haBvjwZNg5z-xREXKu5vstZI6fGVYUBhvxA8s/s320/IMG_2041.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Another cute Make n Take project made at the Vancouver Regionals!!! The projects were really over the top so we stamped as much as we could given the timeframe there, and brought the rest home to finish. I was proud of myself as for once I set aside time the day after Regionals and completed ALL the make n takes...before I put the supplies away! You can find the original on stampinfunwithselene's blog! I love the colours Wild Wasabi and Baja Blue together. I purchased the Baja Blue seam binding for this card (and clubs) and its so lightweight and easy to use. We also use the Easter Blossom stamp set, and the Springtime Vintage designer paper.</div><div></div><div>This card showcases the White Crayon resist technique. An oldie, but a goodie in my opinion. Stampin' Up! came to Vancouver!! Yes...it was Regionals. The last time they came here was 4 years ago! So I was in dire need of a creative tune up :)<br /><br />Anyway I"ll be sharing the make n' take projects we made in the upcoming days but I thought I"d share what the gals in my clubs made in February.<br /><br />There was quite a bit of interest in the Build a Blossom stamp set (pg 12 of the Occasions Mini) and the matching punch when we all saw it at first. I thought this would be a great stamp set to show since the punch didn't line up with the set, like in some sets SU has come out with before. Soooo I found a card idea I liked and went with it! I love the shimmer paint mixed in with rubbing alchohol. I truly believe ANY card would probably benefit from a spritz of that stuff!!! Can't go wrong with glitter :) Colours were Rose Red and Pear Pizazz for paper. Ink was Rose Red and Always Artichoke. We used the Springtime Vintage designer paper (pg 15 of the Occasion Mini) as well on both cards this month! LOVE LOVE LOVE that paper! Adornments are the embellishment which are found on pg 15 as well. Hope you like it!<br /><br />Kerry<br /><br />p.s. one thing I recommend when positioning your petals is to punch out a circle and adhere snail to it and then place them on that. Worked well at our clubs!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF3ypLYxyDEbq69HbpVSoG6ymWAkns6kppVs-FCnogCITJxKyr_Ri2UY6Vd9UGVOA75EtJ5KTgxTM1Eb5nvG2F3wUizjDybmet8GK2ZHgMBc559ZH7OAi09h9dt1HhBOexGjhXCHltDTrp/s1600/IMG_2023.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5578600555821454050" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF3ypLYxyDEbq69HbpVSoG6ymWAkns6kppVs-FCnogCITJxKyr_Ri2UY6Vd9UGVOA75EtJ5KTgxTM1Eb5nvG2F3wUizjDybmet8GK2ZHgMBc559ZH7OAi09h9dt1HhBOexGjhXCHltDTrp/s320/IMG_2023.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div></div>KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681491506137918948.post-32423957445970232852011-02-22T08:43:00.000-08:002011-02-22T08:43:00.228-08:00A Day at the Zoo<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsfTc6dBKG3i2lM8bgHABiOZr5kq-vzgjrAPR0Me4BjLlkEz8Owt-Dur0cjewWQBhledQqUvShaFA6gnUyQ0Mo-R33oVVfJnLJWJPL1Z1eaBjPdP4yjoZKmTAIrUtJN-tkDjqbg_zLU4BR/s1600/IMG_1941.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575442595760374418" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsfTc6dBKG3i2lM8bgHABiOZr5kq-vzgjrAPR0Me4BjLlkEz8Owt-Dur0cjewWQBhledQqUvShaFA6gnUyQ0Mo-R33oVVfJnLJWJPL1Z1eaBjPdP4yjoZKmTAIrUtJN-tkDjqbg_zLU4BR/s320/IMG_1941.jpg" /></a> What a gorgeous weekend we had here in the FraserValley. Living on the West Coast we are just used to the rain that settles over here for the majority of the winter. BUT one good thing about that is that when there is a sunny day it is so extra special, and we're just dying to get out! My kids had a Pro-D day on friday and the older girls were at friends so we took the youngest 2 to the zoo. It was so odd to just have 2 kids with us! It was an amazing time, and neat to see just the 2 interact with eachother. <br /><br />Happy Stampin'<br />Kerry<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfZPHFFUPMx2v-Np2GHFAsfUyrGJkiAyhxWNbUGjSxgTLCYHpTBljuEM_sXnl72ahycxmUpTgjrFCGdiBVuFFOVYobFOaTBrdZNjWZoOB2TsjPJzpxuJNIQkx15DWqPBKZm6WbwSEnL18o/s1600/IMG_1943.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575442532367599602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfZPHFFUPMx2v-Np2GHFAsfUyrGJkiAyhxWNbUGjSxgTLCYHpTBljuEM_sXnl72ahycxmUpTgjrFCGdiBVuFFOVYobFOaTBrdZNjWZoOB2TsjPJzpxuJNIQkx15DWqPBKZm6WbwSEnL18o/s320/IMG_1943.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiszh6iEMU2wkUK0xWmc7MO6CFwpZBNoR1zpMzlTTQmIWbjz69pYYWhQMs24mR33X-9G_2sfUlLIhcQKp6uvYs2HMrFFNKzSRrdU-pGJXZVrzMlpn8dwEu20jSZg0foFMYc011XeR3FkNuC/s1600/IMG_1944.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575442473678631058" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiszh6iEMU2wkUK0xWmc7MO6CFwpZBNoR1zpMzlTTQmIWbjz69pYYWhQMs24mR33X-9G_2sfUlLIhcQKp6uvYs2HMrFFNKzSRrdU-pGJXZVrzMlpn8dwEu20jSZg0foFMYc011XeR3FkNuC/s320/IMG_1944.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div>KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681491506137918948.post-39196333115553564932011-02-21T08:41:00.000-08:002011-02-21T08:41:01.286-08:00gorgeous skyGreetings!<br /><br />Just wanted to share a beautiful sunset we had here. Its an awful picture..sorry about that! Its a quick gift to make if you need one in a hurry. The letterpress plate was used with Old Olive craft ink. It makes a debossed image...pressed 'in', instead of the embossing plates/folders that raise the paper. Stay tuned, more to share coming up!<br /><br />Kerry<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBX08_CZTNxVfL7uXpd4TvAvcp_gvacV7b8N_dzTW_bapqHJmdDIWjLmxPJswYBYoMhcNp1KxKXMTirq9N_diZBahDMv9IpWbug4LvFxrJFieNHRLNCETCyrQW_oPKm15YuUY1SKbObTEU/s1600/IMG_1587.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5549988817338899906" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBX08_CZTNxVfL7uXpd4TvAvcp_gvacV7b8N_dzTW_bapqHJmdDIWjLmxPJswYBYoMhcNp1KxKXMTirq9N_diZBahDMv9IpWbug4LvFxrJFieNHRLNCETCyrQW_oPKm15YuUY1SKbObTEU/s320/IMG_1587.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEh5941KTWgQfQ0Es8MxksS_0iVhTZhKkS5EuJmhvbsrzhTwDkhkmTCwnOFHhSSiok3cGaOWCbsXLz3nCO-dXz1ogPzwHXONFet3EPqaF1HCEjxn4SXdFrnUlBkKgmkeIqTdSx1b0ahgdd/s1600/IMG_1588.jpg"></a><br /><br /><div></div>KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681491506137918948.post-71903652900190166092010-12-14T18:26:00.000-08:002010-12-14T18:26:00.300-08:00decorated tinHello,<br />I have a non-stamping related craft to share today. There are so many opportunities for the home-schooled child I have found. One morning last week we went to another home-schooled family's house and the mom taught a few girls how to make these decorated cookie tins. See what Megan made! (with some help from her mom) Cute I"d say!<br /><br />Countdown is on, yippee!<br /><br />Kerry<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEwJnep9j549M2c1yGGAH9oE49AcRSruyDxOArark_36wjuExTwzq6JU0uai2O7-KHUtZQws8hXdFRIrnhFk_XWM7ojOxXLn4tZ8aXCWXAd4w1uePOmVcKH4Xi1WVNXOJx3Z-Lj6Hfie3y/s1600/IMG_1687.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5549987813687309042" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEwJnep9j549M2c1yGGAH9oE49AcRSruyDxOArark_36wjuExTwzq6JU0uai2O7-KHUtZQws8hXdFRIrnhFk_XWM7ojOxXLn4tZ8aXCWXAd4w1uePOmVcKH4Xi1WVNXOJx3Z-Lj6Hfie3y/s320/IMG_1687.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB8bXtUQ3llto9Cga2b4klns7Ltj21ScuciuYHv1fWRSf4otXGa1J2QaqOKenCYjn2_CvFpgKA98PmVMHWZedUra3Iwf_N6b_CC7Oa-V-dNwQlMv6V4JHGOvVc_qhMraptcW-P9ebatLXr/s1600/IMG_1686.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5549987734180201842" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB8bXtUQ3llto9Cga2b4klns7Ltj21ScuciuYHv1fWRSf4otXGa1J2QaqOKenCYjn2_CvFpgKA98PmVMHWZedUra3Iwf_N6b_CC7Oa-V-dNwQlMv6V4JHGOvVc_qhMraptcW-P9ebatLXr/s320/IMG_1686.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div></div>KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681491506137918948.post-17166601074205184042010-12-12T18:21:00.000-08:002010-12-12T18:26:16.496-08:00Finding our perfect tree<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9hIrwl8Qi156IGBryG_y1PMPCp1_qdYEwG6BDZSnckCBH7SdKFQeG-06YuvruELbYOMfUzJLU0TtnTE5LXrSyvgyrIoYX1T7BCh-19B2qO1kAjAm23CdBb2YmtDk5y1Kqj__QemCnsF9k/s1600/IMG_1683.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5549987020616543938" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9hIrwl8Qi156IGBryG_y1PMPCp1_qdYEwG6BDZSnckCBH7SdKFQeG-06YuvruELbYOMfUzJLU0TtnTE5LXrSyvgyrIoYX1T7BCh-19B2qO1kAjAm23CdBb2YmtDk5y1Kqj__QemCnsF9k/s320/IMG_1683.jpg" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL9za7vWsZmzeMwj8pPyTzvFyIcHC11K5mi8UVs56NmW131xQmAl8zF3t9G_s7z5lWnfYx6Fkwa2qaEAN6M6QpSK-LSFSbsLfzFjO9bJXgVZ0dF1XJaMplbalI2PmWjyGkDPiZu0oBLkAP/s1600/IMG_1684.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5549986849038286274" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL9za7vWsZmzeMwj8pPyTzvFyIcHC11K5mi8UVs56NmW131xQmAl8zF3t9G_s7z5lWnfYx6Fkwa2qaEAN6M6QpSK-LSFSbsLfzFjO9bJXgVZ0dF1XJaMplbalI2PmWjyGkDPiZu0oBLkAP/s320/IMG_1684.jpg" /></a><br />Seasons Greetings!</div><div> </div><div>Here are a few pic's of us last sunday getting our Christmas tree. Well I came accross this great site called 'Groupon'. Up until now the coupons were mostly good for the Vancouver area, (they are alos all over N. America I believe) but they announced today that they are going to be offering Groupons to the Abbotsford area!!! Each day thru your email acc't a special deal will be emailed. I've taken advantage of it once a few weeks ago...(remember up until now they've mostly been located in Vancouver so I never bought any). I bought the Body Shop Groupon - get a $40 voucher for $20. Great as this time of year I always buy a few things there anyway. Everything went smoothly, and I've already spent it. If you want to sign up, its FREE and you can click here to check it out: <a href="http://www.groupon.com/r/uu11496294">http://www.groupon.com/r/uu11496294</a> My friend in the past has used a 'Gap' Groupon as well.....there are some great deals to be had! Happy Shopping!KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5681491506137918948.post-68575481416153885412010-11-27T15:54:00.000-08:002010-11-27T15:54:00.805-08:00Christmas card class for November<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiht8c-UyDhe7A_ReBihxVMpp7gkXyufaBHB2zWaemkqSXe6SeHF0LO9Lv52hL7CrhApMHc8YT4wPD8P0_s-N2Dm0QdDjZmmJmVVobWMvRAu71oW9yj1puOjUk4UKI6E7oVnv5ymik7l9zL/s1600/IMG_1602.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543269139972604242" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiht8c-UyDhe7A_ReBihxVMpp7gkXyufaBHB2zWaemkqSXe6SeHF0LO9Lv52hL7CrhApMHc8YT4wPD8P0_s-N2Dm0QdDjZmmJmVVobWMvRAu71oW9yj1puOjUk4UKI6E7oVnv5ymik7l9zL/s320/IMG_1602.jpg" /></a> Greetings!!! I find it hard to believe that I'm finished with yearly Christmas cards for another year! Here are the Christmas cards that were made in September. Again, the ladies made 5 of each. <br />She snowflake is made using the Northern Flurry die with silver cardstock. Also silver embossing on some snowflakes too.<br /><br />The other card has glitter faintly on it. You take a small spray bottle and fill with Rubbing Alchohol and then put 6 - 7 drops of Shimmer Paint. Shake and spray and voila - shimmer paper! so pretty...you can never go wrong with glitter, that's all I'm gonna say!<br /><br />Happy Stampin'<br />Kerry<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMfypnx4rjrdIT_z1nyqHp6ZetBXCZQvTvImxfISppYOPsFxqZtezUul1iw73t2unC4hNJALwVPEUMRaJvneoZ4hpEB7e_jEB89VOwgpvHZFE_ybM29eoez1e1U7Zx8uEUupPX_WlHj4xu/s1600/IMG_1592.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538176582975225250" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMfypnx4rjrdIT_z1nyqHp6ZetBXCZQvTvImxfISppYOPsFxqZtezUul1iw73t2unC4hNJALwVPEUMRaJvneoZ4hpEB7e_jEB89VOwgpvHZFE_ybM29eoez1e1U7Zx8uEUupPX_WlHj4xu/s320/IMG_1592.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div></div>KerrySchwenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16883546757567140141noreply@blogger.com0
