Define Your Life

Hope you're having a wonderful summer so far!
I was so happy to finally ink up my brand new sets - Defining Alphabet and Define Your Life - both sets I got free during the Saleabration campaign this year. You could use those combinations of sets to make quite a few types of cards using this layout, don't you think?

Embrace Life

Here's another sample I made before my Open House. It was so much fun filling that board! This card came together once I decided on the stamp set. I knew Dusty Durango would be a good choice of colour. I used the new DSP Razzleberry Lemonade pg 162. I love how the In Colours come in markers now so I stamped the image in Stazon Black and then coloured in the flowers with my Dusty Durango marker.

same but different

Happy tuesday,

Here's a card that you may recognize from a few months ago....I made a card at my downline's Open House but realized as I was updating my sample board that it had retired colours/paper on I just made the same layout but with Bella Bleu DSP instead....super easy and quick layout, don't you think?

New Catalog Kick Off Party!

Good Morning! Happy Saturday!

I just wanted to share some pictures from my New Catalog Kick Off party that I hosted this past Wednesday! It was a great turnout and I was so happy to see so many of you! 23 ladies were able to come out and visit, stamp and eat some munchies. Congratulations to the ladies that won door prizes too!

If someone brought a new friend then they both got to choose out of my basket of goodies.

OK, for the life of me I couldn't get this picture to upload the normal way! I took it and it displays normal on my camera and the computer but when I upload here its sideways! Arhhhh glitches. Anyway I thought you'd still get the idea :) Each lady got a wrapped chocolate bar as a thank you gift for coming. I used my Big Shot and the large Scallop, some ass't ribbon and the Oval All stamp set and scallop oval punch. Making 30 of these went quite quickly as I had my helper, Kylie. She did all the Big Shot cutting for me while I did the ribbon.

Another project Kylie and I made was wrapping the Lindt chocolate with label stickers. I stamped in the New In Colours on a label sheet with my Fifth Avenue Floral and then Kylie and I wrapped each little chocolate with a label. YOu could do this with any occasion - it really looks special :)

The 2 make n' takes. With up to 30 woman coming into my house and I to really think about this. I've never done this many at one time. Anyway I loved this idea on saw on another blog a few weeks ago. I especially loved it as I had the Box #2 Die already! I just ordered some In Colour 12x12 cardstock and I was ready to go.
Each lady got to choose their paper and polka dot in colour ribbon.

Lastly is the card. Everyone agreed it was a nice, easy layout to use in the future. On In Colours used. As well as Upsy Daisy stamp set.

Everything went really smoothly and I was happy to find homes for most of my retired items. Now I have some $$ to play with ordering some NEW product...oh how to narrow down my wish list! Anyway thanks for stopping by,

Dormant List

Unfortunately, there's never quite enough room in the Stampin' Up! catalogue to put ALL the stamps that are available -- they want to fill it as much as possible with new goodies! So for your convenience, here's a list of all available DORMANT LIST items :) Clicking on the stamp set names will open them up in the Online store, so you can view the images. You can still order all these items, they're just not in the current catalog.

a new toy

Since the last 2 posts focused on Kylie I thought i'd share a few recent pictures of my other kiddies. At a garage sale yesterday we found this great push car for Jacob. He LOVEs it and as you can see from Megan's face she got going a wee bit fast! I love the real expressions captured in these photo's...not a cheesy posed face!

She's looking sooo grown up in this picture! What a beauty!

Kylie's graduation

Here are some pictures of my little graduate! The one picture I was able to catch her throwing her cap into the air - cool eh? At her school the kids walk accross a bridge symbolizing the bridge between 1/2 day school of Kindergarden to big kid school of all day in Grade 1. She was so proud and happy. She's so ready for Grade 1 and all the adventures it will bring her. The other picture is with her teacher - Mrs Macleod. Mrs Maclead was the BEST Kindergarden teacher. She had just the right mix of sweetness with the kids and control so she had all 21 kids listening to her so well. I was always in awe of the energy she had. When I helped in the class I was usually so exhausted after my 1/2 day! Here she did it morning and afternoon with 2 different Kindergarden classes! Sure hope she's still at the school when Jacob's time comes!

New Catalog Open House

Hello there!

Well I've been busy getting ready for my New Catalog Kick Off Party this coming Wednesday. I've got loads of retired items for sale at great prices, as well you can make 2 make n' takes using the New In Colours, eat some tasty snacks and hopefully win a doorprize. Email me or give me a call to rsvp. I'd love to see you!

In preparation of this event I looked at my display board and realized that EVERY single sample I had had something that was retired on it....except one lonely card. Sooooo I hosted a swap with my downline and got 4 beautiful cards from that and now each night have been stampin up a storm! Its been alot of fun I must say. Here's a sample of one of the cards I just finished. It uses the new Bermuda Bay In Color and the stamp set Pun Fun. The image is stamped on the shimmery white cardstock which I tried to capture in the 2nd picture.

After the event I'll have quite a few new samples to show you on here so stay tuned! I'll also share the make n takes the ladies made. One of them uses the Box #2 XL Die for the Big Shot.
