Shimmery delight

Hello!
I can't believe May is almost over!
We've had a busy month with birthdays, Mother's Day and year end activities with the girls.

I'm helping my friend with her pictures which will go in her adoption profile by scrapbooking them with her. We're half way done....finishing tomorrow evening hopefully.

Here is one of the cards the ladies made at May club. The tutorial is found here on Patty Bennett's site. She is my stampin' hero! It was a huge hit and we all love the look you can get with this simple technique. I encourage you to try it at home, you'll get addicted :) The leaves are made using my Big Shot. The paper behind the rose is using the Taste of Textiles cardstock...its so pretty in real life, esp with the rose being on the shimmery white cardstock. Behind it all is a layer of vellum too, which soften it even more. You like?

Well I better get on with my day. We've moved the girls rooms around once again so its chaos. I'm also helping in Kylie's Kindergarden class today.

I love being a mom, but its definatley wearing MANY hats!

Here is the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. Its also one of the cards the ladies are making at May club this month. I saw the awesome technique at Patty's blog. You can view it here. The rose is on Shimmery White cardstock which is hard to make out - but its so pretty in real life! I also used some of my designer paper - Taste of Textiles behind the rose.

My nephew turned 3 today. Here is a quick card I made for him. I love this little train set! I have an older train set that retired a few years ago but I love this one because you don't have to colour it in. Very quick and easy. I had Kylie stamp the trains on the brown wrap I used to wrap his gift so it all matched.

Happy Stampin'

Family pic's

Hello!
Here are some pictures I took this past Saturday. Megan had her Baton Twirling provincials. We were in Richmond for 7 hours while she did her thing! Thankfully there was an awesome playground at the High School. When looking at these photo's I'm amazed how grown up they are getting!!! Megan did well and recieved a First Place gold trophy - she was so happy!
Sharing some cards i've made in my next post, stay tuned.

Baby Shower invites

Greetings!

I was asked to make 30 Baby Shower invites for a friend of mine. Here they all are spread out while the 2 way glue dries with dazzling diamonds on the stars. I used last years Saleabration stamp set (love it, keeping it)...as well as this year's Saleabration designer paper. On the barely banana strip I ran it thru my Big Shot with a texturz plate (tiny dots) to add some interest.
For large quantities of cards (example when I made Baby Gift thank you's last year) I love ordering the note cards and envelopes from the Catalog. You get 20 prescored card bases + 20 white envelopes.

Anyway I have my All Occasion class tonight so I'll share those cards this week.

Have a great day!
