For those that have inquired this is the appetizer I made last weekend when we out to our friends house. It was a big hit, and oh so yummy!

Zucchini Cheese Garlic Appetizer
SUBMITTED BY: Northernlights PHOTO BY: ESLP "Wonderful little biscuits filled with cooked zucchini and cheese. Garlic and herbs round out the flavor nicely."

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
4 cups grated zucchini
1 3/4 cups biscuit baking mix
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 large finely chopped onion
4 cloves chopped garlic
3 tablespoons dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the zucchini, biscuit baking mix, Parmesan, Cheddar, eggs, vegetable oil, onion, garlic, parsley, salt and oregano. Spread the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.
Allow the mixture to cool. Cut into small squares and serve warm or cold

I got this recipe from allrecipes.com its a FAB site that I've used for years. I just type in the item, or ingredients I want to use in the search bar and 'voila' - lots to choose from. I like to read the reviews before I make anything too as sometimes there are great suggestions made!

Bon Appetite!

boys cards

Good Morning!

Today is going to be a good day. I can just feel it!
My friend Sabrina is in town visiting from Cranbrook and we're having a little bday party for her 2 boys. They havn't met too many people there yet so we wanted to so something for her boys so they felt special.

The boy cards are still so new to me so bear with me! I literally had a few minutes yesterday to make these while Jacob had some cheerios so I grabbed one of my many baggies that I have filled with cardstock that are leftovers from previous classes. I love doing that lately as it uses it up - plus the pieces are precut and I work with them.

Here are the 2 cards I came up with. The cupcake is for her Jacob who is turning '1'. His brother Zach is turing '4'. For boys do you add sparkle? Wasn't sure about glitter on boys cards.....for example on the flame???? Advice?

Have a wonderful day!

Appy anyone?

Hello,

Its a gorgeous day here in the Lower Mainland. This is going to be short so I can get back outside playing with the girls since Jacob is napping....
Anyway wondering if anyone has a good appetizer recipe they'd like to share? I need one for this weekend and I always tend to make the same ones so would love a new one!
We love anything with cheese or meat.....

Thanks,
Kerry

Happy Easter!

Here are the bunnies the girls made today. I got the idea from Fran Sabad's blog. Aren't they cute! They use the Pick a Petal set, scallop circle punch and oval punch. Add a bit of chalk and - voila! your done!

I showed them how to make one, and they went from there. I actually left the room and continued on with my tasks around the house. I was so surprised they got so many made (There were so many to photograph!). I esp loved the little brown bunnies Mikayla made. She went into my scrap bin and made them!

Have a wonderful weekend!

All Occasions Class April 09

Hello,

Here are the 2 cards made my April 3rd All Occason class. Each lady made 5 of each, going home with 10 cards with envelopes.

This first one caught my eye a few months ago while I was blurfing , and I filed it away to use at a future class - once I had my new circle cutter - which I do have now I knew I wanted to make it!

I loved the card made by StampingJo.com and used her card as my CASE. I did add the scallop circle matt and kiwi/vanilla ribbon. Also changed the colours up a bit but the layout and idea is all hers! Thank you Jo!
I love how this card uses all my circle punches. A great way to use up scraps!

In honour of this card I made cupcakes for the snack last night! Chocolate with pink vanilla/almond flavoured icing.

The next card was inspired by one I saw on SCS but I did change it up quite a bit.

I loved how there was so much texture used. We used the texturz plate, rubbed with choc ink to make it 'pop!'.
Secondly used squares of the Parisian Breeze DSP which is textured as well.
I had a bunch of sentiments out which everyone could choose what they needed for events coming up.

All in all it was a great evening!

I have one more in May if you're interested in joining in. Check out my website for more information :)

Happy Stampin,
Kerry

i'm back

Hello on this sunny, spring day!
Thanks for all your advice and well wishes! I kept my 10 yr old home for the following 2 days once Chris went back to work, lived on T3's and muscle relaxers and gradually my back got better. 2 days ago I went to a Massage Therapist (ouch, so not a spa massage!) so things seem to be getting better! Thankfully :)
OK, onto stamping, since this is my stampin' blog!

For my March clubs I wanted to introduce Watercolour Wonder crayons. For the first project - the mini pizza box they watercoloured the mini card using aqua painters, crayons on watercolour paper. LOVE using this techique! OH, did you notice I used my new embosslit too - the flower on the top of the box! The embosslits are made to cut and emboss as it goes thru the Big Shot. For the leaves we just used the small oval punch, folded in half and sponged with ink.

For the 2nd project - the Easter Card they used the crayons and directly coloured on the rubber, got it wet and then stamped. Not sure if you can make it out but the card is on a hinge and opens upwards....inside it says 'Easter Greetings'.

Hope you check back soon as I'll share the cards the ladies made at my All Occasions class last night. Plus some pic's from our Palm Springs holiday!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Kerry
