KISS

Greetings!
Here is a perfect example of KISS. (keep it simple silly)
I really loved this card on SCS on quickly made one up for myself while I have my friend, Lynn's stamp set! I hoping to make a bunch of these ones up for myself this year to use. Its stamped on Shimmery White cardstock which is hard to make out in the image.
Have a great day!

Holiday card class card #2

Hello again,
Remember that angel card I shared awhile ago? Anyway here is the replacement card I had to come up with! (cardstock needed was backordered so I had to have a plan B)
I'm quite happy how it turned out, I like the tone on tone look the vanilla piece that has been embossed with a textured plate gives...(hard to make out...maybe click on the image to make it bigger?) The snowflake is gold embossed and the tiny snowflakes on the bottom are stamped using the Champagne Shimmer paint.

You can make the square mediallion by using a piece of cardstock 2.75 x 2.75 and then using the scallop edge punch to go around the edges...Make a great focal point!

Anyway love to hear from you!

Holiday Card class card #1

Hello,

Here is one of the 2 designs the ladies made at my November Holiday card classes this month.
I've been loving all the different things you can do with the Shimmer paint (found in the Holiday mini) and here is another way of using it...
You put 4 drops or so of the shimmer paint in a small spray bottle with rubbing alchohol...shake well and spritz over your cardstock. Here I used the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint...it is soooo pretty in real life - adds a real sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gr 1 card

Hello on this dreary day,

Here is a card I just did with Kylie's gr 1 class this morning.
I had premade all the scallop circles and had run them thru the Big Shot with Petals-a-Plenty beforehand. Each scallop circle was enough for 2 cards. The rest is pretty basic...we're dealing with 5 and 6 yr olds....it went really smoothly though and I think the kiddies had a great time! It also went quickly if you had wanted to do something like this yourself...no more then 5 minutes per group of 2 kids...I was in and out of the school in an hour and a half!

Stay tuned for more cards tomorrow!

Stay dry!

whoo hoo MDS is Awesome!

Hi there,

Are you happy that your week is done? I love the weekends. No matter that my husband works most of them, its just nice to know I don't have to deal with school, after school activities etc....
Anyway I had some time to tonight to myself and I really wanted to watch some tutorials that Patty Bennett has been posting. I watched one on how to crop punches when using MDS, and also how to create a blog header on MDS. It didn't take long to create my new blog header but it took longer on how to figure out my new free photo editing software - Picasso 3. I think I finally got the hang of it, cropped my blog header, saved it and uploaded it. Phew!

Thanks so much Patty on providing the great MDS tutorials!!!

Have a super weekend, thanks for dropping by,

Kerry

angels

Hi,
I borrowed the Holy Triptych set from my friend Lynn thinking I would use it at my November Holiday Card class. I knew I wanted to showcase embossing as I had only used the white EP in this series of classes....I wanted to use the gold or silver as its a real 'Wow' at this time of year. Anyway here is what I came up with. The dress and hair of the angel is coloured in with Watercolour pencil crayons and blender pen. 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds are on the wings. Well...sometimes things don't go as planned and I noticed earlier today that my Night of Navy cardstock is on Backorder....and I need it by this coming thursday and it hasn't even shipped yet. Normally this wouldn't be a problem when I"m creating for a club or workshop but with the numbers of cards I have to cut (90 for this card alone) I needed those 2 packages!!!! Soooo I spent this evening coming up with another card completely using the cardstock I knew I have enough of....I quite like the card and will post it here once the classes are finished. (Nov 12th and Nov 17th) I used Serene Snowflakes instead and embossed in Gold, plus Champagne Shimmer paint to just give you a hint :)
Anyway lots of ramblings today....
Hope you're having a great week so far,
Kerry

2nd card from September class

Hi again,
As promised here is the 2nd card that my customers made at my Holiday Card Class in September. They made of these cards as well....Hard to make out in the picture but we ran the chocolate chip matt thru with Petals-a-Plenty Embossing folder and then sponge daubed Champagne Mist shimmer paint over the raised images....so pretty in real life with the sparkle! The designer paper strip is from the Holiday Mini as well as is called Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP. The white part of the swirl is flocked. (pg 21 in the mini).
Thanks for dropping by! I appreciate all comments.
Happy Stampin'
