Big Blooms

Hi there!!!
Sorry I've been MIA. Its been a busy week with clubs, classes and getting swaps done for the cruise.

I wanted to made some thank you cards so today I was able to sit down and make these fun mini cards. They are 1/4 sheet of choc chip c/s folded in half. I used Taken With Teal craft ink and heat embossed with Irridescent Ice EP but its hard to make out the sparkle on a scan. Much prettier IRL.
Stamp sets - Big Blooms, Much Appreciated
Cardstock - Choc Chip, Very Vanilla, Au Chocolat
Ink - Taken with Teal craft, Certainly Celery Classic
Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Sponges, 1/2" circle punch
The sun is shining so I've also been outside alot more too. Tonight I have 2 friends over for Mikayla and Megan so I have 5 little girls here. I just set up a movie - Barbie Mermadia so that's why I'm able to upload here on my blog. Now to make popcorn for the crew!
I had alot of fun at my 30 cards for $30 class this past week. It went really smoothly and everyone left with a whole swack of cards. If you'd like a visual of the cards please visit my downline Sarah as she has uploaded all the cards on her site. We prepped the class together so our cards were the same. Each gal got a kit with all the cardstock precut, a 'map' of how the cards look and to be put together and also all the pieces of the kit that we didn't even use. Her blog is www.stampinsars.blogspot.com .
Hard to believe I'll be on the ship 2 weeks right now! Thank you to everyone that has helped make this a reality! Couldn't have done it without you!!!

"Go Megan Go"

Hello!!!
Well here is a pic of our daughter Megan at her Cheerleading party we had Friday evening. It was SO much fun and the 10 little girls loved it! One little girl called in sick just before so Kylie was thrilled that she got to participate now! She kept right up with those Grade 1 girls which was fun to watch. (she's almost 4 years old)
Megan is such a girlie girl in so many ways and yet a tomboy at heart as well. She loves to ride her bike, play in the dirt and wrestle with her daddy. On the other hand she LOVES make up already, (only for fun sometimes though), loves jewellery and clothes. (can you hear me groan as we're in trouble here...) Anyway's this is the outfit she chose when I took her shopping the day before. Its a big deal when she gets clothes as being the 2nd daughter she get's mostly hand me downs.
For those of you that know Megan she is so full of life, and real fireball and I just love spending time with her, esp one on one! Happy Birthday my little imp!

Print Pattern

Greetings!
Well i'm sad to say I have nothing new to share with you that i've stamped recently. I"ve been up to my eyeballs in swaps I'm getting ready for the cruise. (plus extra's for Vancouver Regionals the weekend after the cruise) that I've done no stamping 'for fun.'
Here is a card I made for a class awhile ago using Print Pattern. It was a pre-buy class where the gals prebought the stamp set and the class was included. I liked the effect of stamping the Print Pattern in Sage Shadow and then outlining the edges with chocolate chip.
On a personal note we are nearing the end of our 2 week Spring Break for the girls. Tomorrow night is Megan's birthday party with her friends. I'm having it at a local Cheerleading Gym. They've just started holding birthday parties so its something new that the girls havn't done yet. I think its going to be ALOT of fun and I'll share some pic's on the weekend.
Hope you have a SUPER day!

Sarah's card

Good Morning!
I had the pleasure of having Sarah over last night to plan our 30 cards for $30.00 class! We didn't get started until around 8:30pm and we were finally able to say we're done at 1:30am!! We were getting so giddy and silly by the end....(y'know what that's like when you 're with a girlfriend and you're pass the point of being tired) LOL. Anyway i'm really pleased with the cards that we created!! We had a few sites for ideas but we actually just came up with our own and are happier with them, they are more our style. We also made a pattern map with diagrams and directions. I'm soooo excited for this class coming up! I'll post the cards after the class.
Here is a card that Sarah made for me as a 'thank you'. She won this set at my last team meeting. The coffee mug stamp is embossed though its hard to make out on my scan. I love the chocolate colours Sarah - thanks!
Off to take our dog Bailey to the groomer - he looks like a miniature sheep dog (and he's a Shih Tzu!). Then to pick up Megan at a slumber party that she was at last night. Mikayla's friend is leaving soon too as she slept over here. What fun having girls! (I'm sure boys are fun too :) )
Hope you have a great weekend,
Kerry

March Make n Take

Good Evening!
Well Spring Break is upon us! Girls are off school for 2 weeks! I have the older 2 in swimming lessons every morning and next week they will go to a local VBS camp for the afternoon so that will be fun for them.
Here is the make n take we did at a workshop last saturday. I wanted the gals to try the watercolour pencil crayons and blender pens. They are so easy to use and are so much nicer then just plain colouring with pencil crayons.
I have a whack of organizing to do tonight. Had a ton of supplies out at my club on monday night so have to find their homes again and tidy up. I've been making head way on the swaps I"m doing for the cruise. HEY, 1 month today until we set sail!!!! How quick is that! After waiting since end of last June I can't believe its finally here! Hey, I just thought that its like a pregnancy with the timing. 9 months of waiting :)
Happy Stampin' Everyone. Thanks for taking a peek. Kerry

On Board 5x5 Art Journal

Hello!

Today our wee Megan turned '7'!!! She's such a bundle of energy (always has been) and I love her for that! She's so much fun. She also has a very soft, sweet side and is always making sure everyone is ok. Her party with her friends isn't until March 23rd so will upload some pic's of her Cheerleading party then.

Here is a journal I altered a few days ago with my new Au Chocolat paper which I LOVE! I also used the new set That's Nice from the Spring Mini. Oh, and of course Office Accroutrements which I keep talking about. I'm debating about what to do with this journal as its got Very Vanilla cardstock in it so I want to use it for something special....its not just 'notepaper'. I was thinking of a gratitude journal, or prayer book....maybe even a scrapbook?

Anyway thanks for visiting.

we're home

Thank you to everyone for your prayers today!!!!!
My day started at 4:30am as I couldn't sleep.....nerves and also I was worried i'd sleep thru the alarm! Kylie's first words when I woke her at 6:15 am were 'what's for breakfast?" so had to quickly change the subject! We got to the hospital for 6:35am as requested.....her surgery was supposed to be at 8am. In reality it was at 9:10am.....Oh well.....as I predicted I was an emotional wreck just before and during the anasthesia!!! I did get control of myself in the waiting room though so that's good :) After that it was smooth sailing...went to the recovery room. Then of to Pediatric's. I must say Kylie truly was amazing. She woke up very groggy but in an ok mood. Megan would always wake up hysterical and unconsolable so this was quite a nice change....She became very hungry so as the day went on she ate popsicle after popsicle. We were able to be discharged late afternoon and are home now. YIPPEE, get to sleep in my own bed tonight! Gave Kylie a bath and now she's in dreamland.

Again, thank you. I"m so grateful this is over and now we can enjoy Spring Break which officially started after school today and also Megan's birthday on Sunday.

Will post my Au Chocolat creation tomorrow, stay tuned!

6x6 for March workshops

Hello!!!
Well I just had a super evening of stamping!! I had to plan my March workshops and it went pretty smoothly! I"ve had some ideas floating around in my head for a few weeks now so it was fun to put them to paper finally!
Here's a 6x6 I'm demo'ing. Used lots of new product from the Spring Mini catalog! Notations double-sided paper (p.15), Office Accoutrement (p.14), Round Tab Punch (p.17), Doodle Alphabet (p.19), Petals Jumbo Wheel (p.8). It was fun to scrapbook again....makes me realize how much I miss it! I really have to make some time to get going again....it's so rewarding!
Keep checking back often as I have a few projects I'll upload in the next day or 2. A 3D candy holder, also the Make n' Take for March workshops as well as a On Board 5x5 Art Journal I altered using the Au Chocolat paper!
Please remember i'll be away from my computer from Thurs afternoon to Saturday as i'll be at the hospital with Kylie. If you need me just send an email and i'll get back to you asap. Thank you for your Prayers, I really appreciate hearing from you via comments and emails.

Rock n Roll

Hello there!
Just wanted to share a card we did tonight at my club get together. We used the Polka Dots and Paisley stamp set and rock'd n rolled the flower. I loved using the white gel pen to accent the paisley images. I think i'll be making this card for one of my swaps for the SU cruise coming up. May tweak it a bit first though....ticket corner punch the artichoke layer as well.....Hard to make out but the dark colour is artichoke, as well as the card base.
Club was alot of fun tonight! This group of ladies are SO fun and I always end up smiling so much. I also learn alot....right ladies? All I can say is a Brazillian Wax sounds VERY painful.....LOL!

2 more swap cards

Good Evening!!!
Here are 2 swap cards that I received for our team swap.....The Polka Dots and Paisley card is from my downline Karlena W and the Glorious Gift's card was created by my 2nd line team member Andi E. I love both of these cards - they did an awesome job!
On a family note I had to take Kylie to pre admissions at the hospital today. Her surgery date is this friday so they wanted to weigh her, do her stats and go over the procedure that will be done on friday. I didn't realize she has to stay overnight so that really sucks! Its always nicer to be home in your own bed. She's having a adenectomy (removing adenoids) and tubes put in once again. Taking her adenoids out will reduce her ear infections the Dr says.... I'm just dreading this friday...I've been thru surgery with Megan before and I just feel like sobbing when you lay your child on the operating table, you hold them, comfort them as they are put under and then the dreaded words from the Dr...."ok, mom you can leave now. We'll come and talk to you when we're done." Then with a heavy heart you leave the room and leave your child in God's hands and the Dr's......and WAIT. If you think of Kylie and I please say a little prayer that all will go well and it will go smoothly.
I"ve created a few things these last few days but want my club members to see them first so will post them at a later date. I have to say I just LOVE the new designer paper in the Spring Mini!!! I love SU stays with trends and offers such amazing quality paper!
Anyway off to hit the hay, lots of ramblings...

Glamour & Glitz

Hi there!

Last night was my daughter's 8th bday party. It was such fun as I had my friend Jessica come and do a 'Make over party'. She has started her own home based business - called Glamour & Glitz and has patterned it off of the Libby Lou concept from the States.

Each gal got to choose from 6 or so different hair do's. As you can see Mikayla chose the braid look! (some others were tiara's and up do's, bandana's, and a big flower). Also had their nails painted (their choice), and their sparkly make-up. The girls were SO excited. I think they really felt grown up since they got to choose! While they were waiting their turns Jessica brought with her a kareoke machine and a disco ball! Most of the girls weren't too familiar with the songs but they knew a bit of a few of them to really get into it! I'll post a pic of my dear hubby getting right into it as well!!!! The girls were giggling sooo hard when Chris started singing Brittney Spears! I'm so thankful for video as I have it all on video - maybe i'll bring that one out for everyone to see at his big '40' bday party this summer :) LOL!
Now onto Stampin' Stuff! You can take a peek at my new slideshow to see all the AWESOME samples that I received in my Spring Theme Swap that I hosted with my downline team. Everyone did such a great job and I'm amazed at how talented a team I belong to!
Hoping to get some stampin' done soon.....I'm in withdrawl!
