All Occasion Card class samples

Greetings!

Here are the 2 cards that the ladies made last thursday at my All Occasion card class. They made 5 of each design. They can choose which sentiment they need for the upcoming month of card giving, as well as they all seemed to enjoy building the little people! I had Bashful Blue matt's cut up as well so those that wanted to make a more 'boy' themed card could. Some ladies also made baby cards using the cute little baby from the set! The images are stamped on Shimmery White cardstock, coloured in with blender pens and watercolour pencil crayons.

On the Bali Breeze card we put Crystal Effects on each flower for a little extra 'wow'. Ilove the colours of the Bali Breeze paper!

Had an open stampin' night at my house for my downline. Was happy that 5 ladies could make it and share my evening of stampin' for no reason! I was able to get 6 cards made so that feels good.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

April Club projects

When I came accross this cute gift card holder I knew I wanted to try it, and then share it with my clubs. You can also put money folded up quite easily inside as well.

You start with 1 pc of cardstock 4 1/4 x 11. Wheel as desired. Score 3 inches from either narrow end, and also score at 5 1/2" (dead middle). Make it fold into a 'M' shape. You put a smidgen of adhesive along the top/bottom of the middle piece but NOT down the front or middle. Use a circle punch to punch out a half moon shape (so you can grab the gift card etc....and lastly you trim just a bit off the end (where its punched) so now you can get something inside.

Hope this refreshes club members to make these at home, and I'd love for you to give it a try.

Here is the card sample using the Cracked Glass technique. The ladies also made a swatch for their swatch booklet. I LOVE the afternoon tea designer series paper. We made our own custom In Colour markers using a blender pen and reinkers. I've marked the ends so now they'll always be guava and wasabi. If you purchase 1 new pkg of blender pens when the new In Colours come out, you can dedicate each end to a new colour and have the advantages of having a marker.
Have a super weekend,

Megan's party

Hi there,

Well I'm back to the land of the living! What a week being sick.

Just wanted to catch up on some postings...Here are some cute photo's of Megan at her Glamour & Glitz party last saturday.

There are different hair styles/accessories to choose from and she chose a tiara and an updo. Some others are bandana, butterfly, big flower, fake braids (that's what Mikayla chose last year)

The girls had alot of fun and sang Karaoke - High School Musical.

OH MY.....SNOW?

Good Morning,

Well, you can imagine my shock when I woke up to THIS this morning! Snow in the middle of April! and not just a light dusting either......I knew I shouldn't have put their winter clothes away last weekend - Murphy's Law!!!! It seems like we're one of the few that got it though since we're up on the mountain...I phoned my mom and hubby and both their cities are just wet. I told Chris I'd take some pic's so he'd believe me :)

Today the girls have the day off school so I"m looking forward to taking it easy. I have a cold, and being pg can't take anything so not feeling 100%.

I"m looking forward to my MIL coming over this evening from the Island though, plus I have a Technique card club this evening as well so that will be fun.

Anyone shocked at who got voted out last night????(on Survivor) I won't post more in case you've taped it and still need to watch it.

Have a great weekend,
Kerry

cute 1st birthday announcement

Hello!

Look at this adorable 1st year birthday announcement my friend, Heidi gave me! (and, yes, I got her permission to post it here on my blog). Its hard to make out but she stitched the pocket with white thread. Embossed the teddybear and sentiment and coloured in the bear. I love how everything is so 'boy' and also coordinates so well! This would make a great birth announcement layout as well. Just a small pic on the inside piece, with all the birth details underneath.
I have my first of this months clubs here this evening so I'm busy getting ready for that. Looking forward to an evening with the ladies!

Megan's bday invites

Its Friday!
This morning it dawned on me that Megan's bday party is next saturday so I needed to get some invites done pronto - so I can hand them out after school today!
Its a postcard style, with the info written on the back. The cardfront is pixie pink - that green stripe is actually just a bag that I have the card leaning against....Also, on the coloured perfume bottles I put dazzling diamonds. Have to, since her party is a 'Glamour & Glitz' party. Same as Mikayla had last year where a lady comes in (Hi, Jessica!) and each girls chooses a hair style, light glittery eye shadow and lip gloss, and of course all over sparkle spray! While the girls are waiting they can do kareoke that she provides, or we have the High School Musical Wii game which the girls love too! Its gonna be so much fun! By the way, this set is a real 'oldie' that I've kept. I felt with having 3 girls I'd get future use out of it - glad I kept it! I think its called A Girl Thing. There's also a row of purses and a row of shoes and of course the row of perfume bottles I used, and the words going along the side.
Not much else new to report. I've made my 2 cards for my All Occasions class coming up but won't share them until after the class.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

long lost friend

Hello!

Today I was childless for a few hours so I started the huge task of organizing my stamp room! Made huge dent so that's good! Anyway I came accross a long lost friend :) Rememberthe Three for You Punch Box? You can view it here if you can't remember....I used it a ton when it first came out and then put it away and had forgotten about it! I love the polka dot stamp in it and all the little words. I also had not used the new Die Cut blooms or Flower Fusion so it was fun using them! So bright and cheerful! The Make a Wish sentiment is from the Eastern Elegance Rub-ons package. Lastly a Rhinestone brad added a bit of bling to the centre of the flower. It felt so good to stamp tonight again....I also created one of the club projects for this month (and cut all the cardstock) but can't share that until the end of the month so if my customers are taking a peek at my blog they'll be surprised when they come :) Lastly made a quick baby Thank You card for a co-worker of Chris's. I rec'd my first baby gift the other day! Sure makes it 'real'! I know its real though cuz this little one is a gymnast....anyone relate? LOL

Anyway I"m gonna hit the hay. Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing day tomorrow.

belly shot update

Good Morning,

Since I havn't any new stamping to share I thought I'd upload a pic of my ever growing belly!

Only 2 more months to go...its going so fast! We painted our nursury, and got most everything set up last week. Phew......For some of you that may seem early to get prepared but with my history of having a early, quick delivery with Kylie I wanted to be prepared this time around!

Anyway hope to get some creative juices flowing soon. I'm also working on my class/club projects for April so can't share those yet....

Have a wonderful day,
Kerry
