March club projects

Good Morning!

Here are the club projects we made for March. The first card uses the Faux Silk technique, new HPH sliders and Embrace Life stamp set. OH, also the new poly twill chocolate ribbon.

The second project everyone made this cute little box. (Thank you to Marcella for sharing the directions at our last team meeting). Each lady made 2 3x3 scratch n' sniff cards to go into the box as well. I love this Tart n' Tangy set - so bright and cheerful!

Lastly here is Chris and the girls new hobby. HOCKEY! They really have gotten into playing ball hockey with Daddy this week. If its raining then they play in the garage. Chris went out and bought a hockey net, and junior sticks. He had to go back though and return 2 of the right handed sticks as both Megan and Kylie shoot left handed. They are actually outside right now playing so I have peace and quiet :) We're thinking of putting Megan in Ringette so if you have any experience with that sport or thoughts please feel free to leave a comment.
Off to unpack a Stampin' Up box full of goodies!

Spring Break - week one

Greetings!
Hope you're having a great spring break! We are just starting our 2nd week of Spring Break. The girls are starting VBS this afternoon, every afternoon this week. (yippee for the girls and for me!)
Anyway we had a super busy week last week. I had a SU club here tues night and then thursday night I had my monthly All Occasion card club class. These are the 2 cards that the ladies made - 5 of each incl envies. I have a bunch of sentiment stamps out that they can customize the card to what they need. I feel in love with these samples while surfing the net a month or so ago! (if its your sample please let me know and I'll give you full credit!)
Friday we had a great visit with the girls cousins, aunt's and Grandma. It was so nice for everyone to get together at my SIL's house as we usually just casually run into each other while visiting my MIL in her nursing home. The older cousins did an egg hunt for my girls which of course they loved!
Saturday we had a big open house type party at my parents house for my Dad's 65th bday. All in all I think over 30 guests came thru. It went really well, girls were so well behaved but I was pooped! Standing on my feet all afternoon with this belly of mine did me in! Glad it went well and I'm going to get the pic's we took developed soon so I can make a scrapbook for my dad to capture this special day.
Yesterday - Easter Sunday we went to church and then had a family day at home.
Phew, there were other app'ts, things we did but these were the highlights of last week!
OH, and now I'm in the middle of taxes so have them spread out on a card table in our family room, so every spare moment plugging away at those! Yuck.
I hope you have a wonderful week!

Tie the Knot Class

Hello!

Last night I enjoyed a great evening creating a card class with my good friend, Joyce. Joyce came up with a great idea of getting a bunch of her friends together and making a swack of cards! I had remembered Patti's great idea of using a Simply Scrappin' kit (you can view her blog here) and thought that would be perfect! So, we came up with 6 card designs, and they'll make anywhere from 2 of the same design to 4 of the same design. Using a variety of chipboard stickers and designer series paper that the pack comes with. It comes with so much that each lady with get 1/2 a package and be able to go home with lots of extra's we don't even touch! Class also includes envelopes! If you'd like to get a group of ladies together and host this class in your home (and be the hostess so you get the freebies) then please let me know! Its going to be alot of fun for Joyce and her friends, low stress and they'll go home with 18 4x4 ready to go!!! Here's the pic's of the 6 different layouts but keep in mind we're using the different stickers so each one is a big different. Class fee is only $25 per person!

Have a great day!

Take Three class

Hello there!

Soooo did you remember to set the clocks forward?

Here are the projects the ladies made at my prebuy Take Three class last week. I love these classes as the best part of them is the class fee includes their own stamp set to go home with!

On a family note we had Mikayla's party last night. I think the girls finally fell asleep at 1am! (midnight old time) They all looked so tired this morning at breakfast! (not to mention Chris and I too! ) Went really well....had 3 projects for the girls to stamp, had pizza, they watched the Barbie Mariposa video - thanks for your suggestions though - will use those for our own family movie nights! The biggest hit though was the High School Musical sing along Wii game! They all loved it!!!!

Anyway hope you are having a relaxing, good day! Chris is about to assemble bunk beds! Not his favourite thing to do on a sunday, that's for sure! I get to play Barbie's with the girls new stuff! Tough life, I know LOL!

I have a 9 year old!

Good Morning!
Well I"m amazed to say I have a 9 year old! My oldest turned 9 today. Her party isn't until Saturday (her first sleepover party) but today she gets to choose what she wants for dinner and she chose Chinese Food so we'll head out once Chris gets home from work. (lucky me as I don't have to make dinner).
Here's a card I just made for her. Her fav colour is still pink so I really went with that theme! I love the micro fine cosmo glitter and it looks so much prettier IRL. Now to go wrap her pressies...(barbie). I'm so thankful she's not growing up too fast and she still loves to snuggle, barbies and make believe.
Anyone know a good movie the we can rent for the girls for this saturday? There's nothing in the theatre that suits....even an oldie from the 80's, 90's that you can remember loving when you were younger?
Have a great day! We have a beautiful, sunny day so i'm going to take the girls and Mikayla's BF to the playground after school!

Team Meeting

Hello there!

Just a quick update before my Take Three class starts soon. I'll post those pictures tomorrow.

Here is the make n' take the ladies made saturday night at my team meeting. Hard to make out but the image is stamped in Choc Chip craft and clear embossed. I love using that look when using watercolour crayons. Also made use of the micro fine cosmo glitter in blue. Lastly used the faux chipboard technique for the sentiment.

We made another small make n' take with the new Tart n' Tangy stamp set from the Occasions Mini which is now available! Its perfect doing the Scratch n' Sniff technique with!

Anyway better go get set up! Thanks ladies for a wonderful evening! As usual alot of fun and good to bounce ideas off of one another!
