Hello!
I'm so happy to say I finally Scrapbooked!
I invited the ladies from my church to come over for a craft night last night. Everyone could bring whatever craft they would like to work on...whether it be arranging photo's, acylic painting, scrapbooking etc.....
There were 7 ladies here last night and it was so much fun!
I just finished putting the pictures of Kylie on the layout just now as a layout always looks finished once the pictures are in place!
I'm challenging myself to get to my scrapbook's at least once a month as I tend to neglect it and when I do get to it I enjoy it so much!
Anyway, enjoy. OH, it used the new upcoming set - Double Line Doodles, available July 2nd in the new Stampin' Up! Collection. Its hard to make out but I also used craft pretty in pink and Irredescent Ice on the Chipboard 'k'.
Anyway off to stamp,
Have a great evening,
Happy Stampin'

scalloped edge
Happy Memorial Day to all my American Friends,
I just wanted to share one of the make n take's we did at Vancouver Regionals a few weeks ago. We made a scalloped edge using circle punch outs.....just line them on the backside of your project in a line. When you flip it over - voila....a scalloped edge!
This project uses the new upcoming set - Double Line Doodles.
Hope you have a great night!

Brown bag card
Hello there!
TGIF! I love weekends. So glad its friday.
Here is one of the projects we made at my clubs this month.
You use a portion of a brown lunch bag and that is the pocket where you put your sentiment....
I used a stamp from Office Accroutrements and wrote a 'coupon type idea' for Father's Day. I used the set Natural Beauty which is retiring as well as Cranberry Crisp since it is one of the In Colours retiring as well.
This was alot of fun and the possiblities are endless. You could put gift cards inside, a packet of tea etc....
Hope you have a wonderful weekend,

Just Wheelin' around
HAHAHA,
Hope you enjoy this silly photo of us that was taken while we were on the SU cruise a month ago.
Not sure if you can make out our funny faces they told us to make! Especially Chris's as he even has his tongue hanging out LOL! And for those of you that are wondering that was one heavy handle and wheel! What a fun picture and a great memory!
Have a great day!

Kylie goofing around
Hi again!
Just thought i'd share one of the pic's I took of Kylie a few weeks ago playing around in our backyard. I'm not sure about you but I find I don't have nearly as many photo's of my 3rd child as I do my first and 2nd....sooooo while the girls were at school one day I took her outside (it was a beautiful, spring day) and I just took pic after pic of her, some posing and some candid shots. Here's one of my favourites.
(her tshirt is from a store in Aruba where everything changes colour in the sun....so inside her shirt is just black and white. We all have nailpolish on that is clear inside and when in the sun turns bright pink. Too cool!)
Round Tab Punch
Good Morning!
Here is a card I case'd from seeing it on a display board on the cruise. It was made my Shelly Wolfe. I loved how the Round Tab Punch was used to create these cute 3 apple cores! I used the small flower from 'Looks Like Spring' for the middle. I trimmed around 1'' from the black cardstock and put a strip of whisper white cardstock on the bottom of the inside piece so my sentiment would show. This would also make a 'better get better' card. I was thinking teacher's card when I made it.
Hope you have a great day!

Regionals 12x12
Hello!!!
Yippee its Friday! Here in Canada its a long weekend. Love long weekends. My hubby always works the stat holiday so not really a 'long' weekend with him but I love having the girls home and hanging out with them.
Here's a 12x12 layout we did at Vancouver Regionals a few weeks ago. I love the bright, cheerful colours together. I also like the layout as its my style of scrapbooking - simple and not cluttered. I love Becky Higgins style and you can view some great layout ideas here.
Safe travels if you're on the road this weekend. Also hope you manage to stay dry as not to break tradition its going to rain till Monday. I heard on the news today that the last dry Victoria Day long weekend was 2001.

Make n Take at my team meeting
Hi there!
Wow, what a great day! It reached 28 degrees today!! I love it and I'm sad to read that rain is on the way....
I planted a herb garden today - Parsley, Oregano, Cilantro and Garlic Chives. Yummm looking forward to using them!
We also have zuchinni, cherry tomatoes and rhubarb.
We are going to be buying some blueberry and raspberry bushes this Sunday at the local Flea market so will have those going in a few years....double yum!
Anyway....onto the pic! Here is a card we made last week at my downline meeting. It is a 6x6 card and we used the new designer paper from the upcoming catalog. The promotion is called 'Palette O' Prints' and can be found on my webpage
here .
After punching out the circle on the lower right we stamped the flower in Versamark and embossed with Detail White EP. Next covered with Crystal Effects and right away placed a coordinating button in the middle. Let set overnight.
Thank you to who ever's display card I saw on the cruise with this idea!! I loved it!
I have loved reading all your comments you left on my last Mother's Day post. Its kinda scary opening myself up to 'non stamping' related issues but it is all worth it if my entry touched one person.

Happy Mother's Day!
Good Morning!
Well I have to say today is the best Mother's Day ever. This used to be such a hard, bittersweet day for me years past. We lost our first child, Matthew in 1994 and so for many years, until we adopted Mikayla I felt robbed on Mother's Day as I wasn't able to stand with all the other Mother's in church, or receive a flower etc....some years I just stayed home as it was too hard. Mother's Day 1999 was so special as we finally had our arms filled with a baby, plus it was the day we chose to have Mikayla dedicated at church. Our lives were blessed even more when a year later we adopted our 2nd daugher - Megan and again had her dedicated on Mother's Day. Please take a moment to read a special poem that means alot to me, I'll put it at the bottom of this post. Both of our Birthmother's have such a HUGE spot in my heart and I honour them today as well. They gave us such a gift that I cannot even fathom. Now that I've had a birthchild myself (Kylie in 2003) it makes me even more aware of how special a gift adoption is. Thank you Noella and Lorrie for making our hearts full! (great now I'm sobbing and my makeup is getting ruined before church!)
A big surprise for me today was when I got out of the shower I could tell my girls were all hiding under my covers in my bed. Well you can imagine my HUGE surprise when Chris was in there too!!!! He was supposed to be working today and I had resigned myself that the girls and I would go visit his mom etc..by ourselves. My jaw dropped!!!! So they all had breakfast ready for me. (He saved a stat holiday that was owed to him to take today off but didn't let on)
Another HUGE surprise is he hand stamped this red card for me! Those of you that know Chris know that he has never stamped much in the 5 years I"ve been a demo. The words he wrote inside are really sweet too....He designed everything on the card and even knew some of the technical product words now since he heard us gabbing on the cruise :)
Anyway there's some of my amazing journey to Motherhood.
Big HUGS to you Mom's out there that wear SO many hats!! You are amazing! Also to mom's to be and also to Mom's in waiting - big big hugs to you as I know how hard today is. Also if you no longer have your mom around on earth may you have special peace knowing you'll see her again. Savour the memories you have of her and take some special time to yourself today!!!!
Heart filled,Kerry
The purple card is one of a few pages Mikayla had in a book for me for Mother's Day. I love how she wrote what was on her heart. (In case you can't make it out it reads:
I love my mom because...of the way she encourages me. Of the way she is helpful to me. Because she is loving. Because she takes care of me well. Because she makes me feel good. I love you. Love Mikayla.)
My heart swells with love. sigh.
Here is the adorable card Megan made me in school. (the yellow one) Its the first Mother's Day card that she has been able to write all by herself. She is in Grade 1. VERY special to me as she struggles in school so I know how hard she's worked to get printing down!
Legacy of Two Mothers
Once there were two women who never knew each other. One, my darling, is your birthmom and the other is your mother.
Two different lives, shaped to make yours one.One became your guiding star; the other became your sun.
The first gave you life, and the second taught you to live itThe first gave you a need for love, and the second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality; the other gave you a name. One gave you the seed of talent, the other gave you aim.
One gave you emotions; the other calmed your fears. One saw your first sweet smile; the other dried your tears.
One chose adoption. It was all that she could do.The other prayed for a child, and God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me through your tears,The age-old question through the years.
Heredity or environment, which are you the product of?Neither, my darling, neither. Just two different kinds of love-Unknown author

Class sample
Hello on this gorgeous day here in the Fraser Valley!
Here is another of the cards featuring punches....
I used the corner rounder to make the scallop edge on the far right of the card....(I put a piece of white c/s so the scallop would show up better in the scan) I punched the circle out of the Petals and Paisley's designer paper and then put some packing tape behind it - sticky side up! Then sprinkle dazzling diamonds on the sticky part!
I'm sad that Riveting (Level 1 hostess set) will no longer be available as of July 1st as I've loved using it this year!
Anyway lots of time spent outside these last few days. I'm having a friend over tonight though so will hopefully gets lots of stampin' done tonight!
Happy Stampin' Have a super weekend,

Another one
Good Morning!
Here's one of the cards we're making at my 'Just Punchy' card class tonight! We use the oval template again to make a base for the basket. (small oval this time though) Also used the round tab punch for the basket and the 2 ovals to make the handle. I have quite a few of the wheels retiring and this card uses one of them - Twinkle. I've always liked Twinkle as its so easy to line it up and the rolling doesn't have to be 'perfect.' The gals tonight can choose which sentiment they want but I used this one as I need to use this card this weekend.
I'll upload the other cards after tonight's class.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

New use for the Oval Punch!
Good Evening!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
My weekend was good. I had my team meeting this past Saturday which I always enjoy! You know what happened though? In the rush of getting out the door with my make n take, samples from the cruise, swaps i've rec'd, gifts from SU on the cruise, door prizes etc...I totally forgot my file folder with all my paperwork in it! It has my agenda, notes I took from the cruise etc.....
It also had this card in it that I had made to show the gals. On the cruise they mentioned another great idea for the oval stamps....and here is a card I made using that idea! I stamped in black stazon and used my aqua painter and reinkers to colour in. Then stamped the image on a 'post it note' and placed over the coloured image....(esp the lower half of the watering can) On a piece of vellum cardstock I punched one large oval punch out on the bottom, and turned it around and punched a small oval out. (this is my template I can use over and over) I then layed my template over the bottom of the watering can and sponged green stazon over it. When I lifted the template I was left with this perfect anchoring oval!!! If you have any questions about this please feel free to ask away.
I have my 'Just Punchy' card class this thursday which will be a fun class...
Anyway lots on my 'to do' list tonight so that's all folks.
