Hello again, Thanks for stopping by!
Here are the teacher/coach gifts I made this Christmas. Each year I try to find something unique and this year when I was in the States a few weeks ago I came accross this great Chocolate covered pretzels. I loved the packaging and thought..."I can alter those". So here is what I came up with. I did use some retired stuff and also some current supplies too....Loved my circle cutter for getting the perfect sized circle on the top of the lid.
I probably won't be posting much in the next while...
I hope you have a Wonderful Christmas with your Loved Ones....That you get some time to celebrate the real reason for the Season too! The Birth of Our Lord Jesus.
Thanks for sharing 2009 with me and I look forward to sharing lots in 2010 as well!

Snowman Poop
howdy!
Here is the craft I did with Mikayla's gr 5 class last week. The poem reads:
Heard you've been naughty so here's the scoop....All you get this year is snowman poop!
All but one of the kids felt their parents would be great with it, I brought along a Merry Christmas stamp in its place if need be :) The kids all thought it was funny. Something different then a card, right?

crafttime
Hello!
Mikayla had her friend Tess over yesterday and they seemed kinda bored so I asked if they wanted to make a craft. Of course the answer was 'yes'....they are 10 yr old girls :)
Anyway I saw this idea ages ago and finally got the girls to try it out. We used felt with the Top Note die and stitched them together to make a small purse. Used the embosslits for the white flower and a rhinestone brad for the centre. Non SU ribbon for the handle. Cute eh?

Here are some cute little boxes that I gave to my Downline that came to my Christmas party last week. They fit the Ghiradelli (sp?) chocolates perfectly!

girls date
Hello!
I just wanted to share the photo's of my 2 oldest girls! On the weekend we went on a date to a large Christmas craft show and there was the most amazing face painter! Didn't she do an amazing job...and it was free too! In real life it was so sparkly...and another booth offered free hair colour so I let the girls splurge and choose a colour of their choice. Mikayla's is really obvious against her dark hair...but Megan's you can't see as much. Her choice was purple. I"m happy to report that both heads are back to normal. Phew! We had that awful experience last October where I died Megan's hair purple to be a pixie for Halloween and it wouldn't wash out like the bottle said! Her school photo and Christmas portrait all had that colour in them!!!

Holiday card class card #2
Hello again,
Remember that angel card I shared awhile ago? Anyway here is the replacement card I had to come up with! (cardstock needed was backordered so I had to have a plan B)
I'm quite happy how it turned out, I like the tone on tone look the vanilla piece that has been embossed with a textured plate gives...(hard to make out...maybe click on the image to make it bigger?) The snowflake is gold embossed and the tiny snowflakes on the bottom are stamped using the Champagne Shimmer paint.
You can make the square mediallion by using a piece of cardstock 2.75 x 2.75 and then using the scallop edge punch to go around the edges...Make a great focal point!
Anyway love to hear from you!

Holiday Card class card #1
Hello,
Here is one of the 2 designs the ladies made at my November Holiday card classes this month.
I've been loving all the different things you can do with the Shimmer paint (found in the Holiday mini) and here is another way of using it...
You put 4 drops or so of the shimmer paint in a small spray bottle with rubbing alchohol...shake well and spritz over your cardstock. Here I used the Champagne Mist Shimmer paint...it is soooo pretty in real life - adds a real sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by!

Gr 1 card
Hello on this dreary day,
Here is a card I just did with Kylie's gr 1 class this morning.
I had premade all the scallop circles and had run them thru the Big Shot with Petals-a-Plenty beforehand. Each scallop circle was enough for 2 cards. The rest is pretty basic...we're dealing with 5 and 6 yr olds....it went really smoothly though and I think the kiddies had a great time! It also went quickly if you had wanted to do something like this yourself...no more then 5 minutes per group of 2 kids...I was in and out of the school in an hour and a half!
Stay tuned for more cards tomorrow!
Stay dry!

whoo hoo MDS is Awesome!
Hi there,
Are you happy that your week is done? I love the weekends. No matter that my husband works most of them, its just nice to know I don't have to deal with school, after school activities etc....
Anyway I had some time to tonight to myself and I really wanted to watch some tutorials that Patty Bennett has been posting. I watched one on how to crop punches when using MDS, and also how to create a blog header on MDS. It didn't take long to create my new blog header but it took longer on how to figure out my new free photo editing software - Picasso 3. I think I finally got the hang of it, cropped my blog header, saved it and uploaded it. Phew!
Thanks so much Patty on providing the great MDS tutorials!!!
Have a super weekend, thanks for dropping by,
Kerry

angels
Hi,
I borrowed the Holy Triptych set from my friend Lynn thinking I would use it at my November Holiday Card class. I knew I wanted to showcase embossing as I had only used the white EP in this series of classes....I wanted to use the gold or silver as its a real 'Wow' at this time of year. Anyway here is what I came up with. The dress and hair of the angel is coloured in with Watercolour pencil crayons and blender pen. 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds are on the wings. Well...sometimes things don't go as planned and I noticed earlier today that my Night of Navy cardstock is on Backorder....and I need it by this coming thursday and it hasn't even shipped yet. Normally this wouldn't be a problem when I"m creating for a club or workshop but with the numbers of cards I have to cut (90 for this card alone) I needed those 2 packages!!!! Soooo I spent this evening coming up with another card completely using the cardstock I knew I have enough of....I quite like the card and will post it here once the classes are finished. (Nov 12th and Nov 17th) I used Serene Snowflakes instead and embossed in Gold, plus Champagne Shimmer paint to just give you a hint :)
Anyway lots of ramblings today....
Hope you're having a great week so far,
Kerry

2nd card from September class
Hi again,
As promised here is the 2nd card that my customers made at my Holiday Card Class in September. They made of these cards as well....Hard to make out in the picture but we ran the chocolate chip matt thru with Petals-a-Plenty Embossing folder and then sponge daubed Champagne Mist shimmer paint over the raised images....so pretty in real life with the sparkle! The designer paper strip is from the Holiday Mini as well as is called Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP. The white part of the swirl is flocked. (pg 21 in the mini).
Thanks for dropping by! I appreciate all comments.

sept holiday card class
Hello,
Ooops, Thanks to Wanda for pointing out that I hadn't shared my September holiday card class cards yet....I overlooked it!
Here is one of the cards the ladies made 5 of. I loved the idea of running fun foam thru the big shot so I did that, then we painted the snowflakes with White Shimmer paint. (found in the Holiday Mini) Finished off with a clear rhinestone brad in the middle. The blue colour is the new in colour - Bermuda Bay. I'll share the other card tomorrow!

Sweet Centres - brilliant trap door!
OK peeps...thanks for dropping by!
Here is the last project the ladies at my 3 clubs made in October....using the awesome Sweet Centres stamp set! One of the problems though is that its hard not to ruin your card when you want to get to what's you've put in the cup!!! WELL I came accross GREAT directions for making a trap door! First pic shows the finished card, and then the 2nd picture shows the trap door coming out.....brilliant I say!
Here are the directions:
Halloween Sweet Treat 3x 3 card
-olive base 3 x 6 (fold in half)
-slider door pumpkin 2 x 2 5/8
-stamp sweet treats stamp in black on whisper white c/s and cut out. Punch centre with 1 ¾ circle punch.
-4 mini glue dots to rim of treat cup (not sticky side) DO NOT ATTACH!!! Keep peel on!
-mini glue dot all 4 corners (white c/s side)
-lay slider door on top to see that the mini glue dots are not in the way of the movement of the door, but do not attach.
-lay main image on top of the card front and trace, circle, then punch out with 1 ¾ circle punch.
-Put layers together and you’re done!
Have fun making these and be sure to put a comment in my blog if you post a picture of your finished project on your blog! I'd love to take a peek!

Club project #2
Hi there,
When I saw this tutorial on Patty Bennett's blog I just knew I had to try it! I didn't have access to the wooden frames though so I made my own using cardboard. (2 sheets glued together for a better thickness).....
I just loved the shimmer paint - I used the Champagne Mist on this card.....Colours used are Dusty Durango and Soft Suede. The club members could choose which definition they wanted for their own card....

Mini Pumpkin basket
Hi there,
Here is one of the projects made at my October club. (we made 3 which i'll be sharing)....
Here are the directions....the box with handle is so cute and can be used for so many different holidays...can you see Easter Eggs? Hearts? etc....
Pumpkin basket (as found on Inkin’ Idaho’s blog)
1. Cut cardstock to 2-1/4" x 5-3/4".
2. Score along the bottom at 1".
3. Score the length at 1-3/4", 2-3/4", 4-1/2" and 5-1/2"
4. Cut on the score lines up to the intersecting score line at a slight angle (to avoid any overlap and it 's cleaner look). Cut off the little piece at the end as shown in the photo.
5. Punch 5 ovals with the Wide Oval Punch, sponge the edges for added depth. I used Pumpkin Pie cardstock and ink.
6. Handle is 6" x 1/2".

Holiday Card Class for October
Happy Friday!
I can finally share the 2 cards the ladies made this month at my Holiday Card class. I had 2 evenings of these projects. Everyone made 5 each of the 2 samples below.
On the cardinal card there is crystal effects to add a touch of elegance. I had each lady bring a cookie sheet so they could take them home spread out since they take awhile to dry....I sometimes wonder what my neighbours think we do in here :)
The second card is a case of a card I found online....I liked the way it was 11" x 3 1/2 . You punch with the scallop circle to create a 'hole' where you put the individual snowman. The individual snowman and the sentiment are raised on dimensionals...Of course every snowman has to have dazzling diamonds so that adds sparkle. Images coloured in with Stampin' Write markers in Bashful Blue, Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie.
Thanks for dropping by,
