Blog Candy!

Anyone up for Blog Candy?????

WOW, i'm amazed that my blog has just passed the 5000 views mark! In honour of this i'm offering some blog candy. I wonder who visits this site so i'm posing this question and everyone that answers will be entered into winning these goodies. Some chipboard titles, SU natural hemp and some prima flowers, oh also 2 jumbo paperclips which are very cool to make bookmarks with!
Everywhere I go there's hearts, red n' white knick knacks, stuffies, chocolate etc....so in honour of this holiday here's my question.
What are your plans for this Valentine's Day?
This year Valentine's Day is on a Wednesday so our older 2 girls go to a local Girls Club. (for ages 6-10) This year they are doing a Father/Daughter date. Chris has the honour of taking our 2 girls to this event and needless to say Mikayla and Megan are anxiously awaiting their special date! Chris and I will probably go out another night for dinner....that's my plan at least! Oh, and hoping for a back rub too :)
What about you!
I'll get one of my girls to pick a name on Feb 12th. Good Luck! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Kerry

Those primas are delicious!!

My plans for Valentine's Day... probably an early dinner with my hubby and kids at Boston Pizza (for heart shaped pizza of course) and then the kids and I will be off to Tae Kwon Do.... then I'm sure there will be some quiet time with my hubby once the kids are in bed.

What luck I stumbled upon your blog from SCS today! :-) Definately planning to come back though.

My plans for Valentine's day are taking my daughter to her Karneval celebration at kindergarten (We live in Germany right now!) and maybe decorating cookies inthe afternoon. My hubbie will be away at a tradeshow. :( Oh well.

Dinner at the keg, but not on valentine's day since it's too busy in restaurants that night and the girls also have club then. We're planning a cookie party for the girls on the 13th with some friends - fun fun. :-)

Your blog candy looks great! Congrats on all the blog visitors.

Hmmm...plans for V-day? Does going to bed early count? I really don't know what we will do...all our babysitters (esp. our in-laws) are either not available or booked. We do plan to go to the Keg soon (by ourselves even!) since we have a gift card from Christmas that is buring a hole in my purse...

I read it faithfully & I have your link on my site :) V-tine plans... probably not too much other than the exchanging cards swap hype with the kids! Might go out for dinner? The kids and I have a post-V-tines playdate where we'll "celebrate" with some friends... pink cupcakes etc!

For Valentines Day we get a heart shaped pizza from Boston Pizza, and spend the evening at home as a family trying only to eat heart shaped food, cookies, cake, jello that kind of stuff the kids love that part...lol. Then DH and I celebrate **wink**.....lol later when the kiddies have gone to bed.

Man, Valentines is next week!! Wow!

It's a Wednesday so we will have to see if we have Bible Study or not. If not, I will probably make a steak dinner and use the china. Stay in and eat with the kiddos. It's a nice tradition we have started.

Hmm... Valentine plans? I don't know yet - but the kids are supposed to be going to my parents' place all next week, so we can do something fun. I am hoping that we might even get away overnight somewhere on the 16th. Can't wait!

How fun! Hmmm...Valentine's Day... Do you have to celebrate it? Just kidding! LOL! I don't really have anything planned yet. I'm thinking of decorating some goodie boxes for the kids and put in something special (have to come up with that yet too.) Want to make my dh's favorite desert and have a candlelight desert time with him after the kids go to bed. Is that a good plan?

Hubby works eves on V-tine but we'll save up for the w/e. Dinner out for sure and he always makes me a nice card and buys flowers. No sugar for me so that cancels out chocolates...maybe a glass of wine with dinner instead. It will be nice whatever we do.

Since V-day is Wednesday this year, we will be at church teaching AWANA. Now that is love! I have your blog in my favorites. I love to see what new things are posted. I check you out almost everyday! Thank you!

After 30 years of marriage, we'll just have an ordinary day.....For the first time in a long time, I actually made a valentine for DH!!!

You are so awesome for doing this!

Our plans are going to be very low key this year. My DH was laid off from work last month so we're being very frugal until something comes up. Besides, everyday is like Valentine's Day with my DH.
I'm going to have my DD help him make a card for me (if he's game) and of course, I'll make one for him :-). Then I'm planning on making a heart shaped meatloaf. :-)

V day!? Well on the 13th I will be at my stampers ten class!tee hee! But on the actual day Kevin will probably send me flowers (unless he already pruchased a gift cert for my stampers ten class!!!)and I will put in an extra effort with dinner. Maybe barb-q a nice steak if the weather clears up! If not probably a roast.

Valentine's Day is a family day in our house. We usually do the heart shaped pizza at Boston pizza too, but I don't think we'll get there this year. I'll probably just make something special for everyone at home.
And some fun with hubby of course.

my plans for valentines day consist of sending my oldest daughter to kindergarten for a valentine's day party and then her grandma will be going to join her in the afternoon. We always, my hubby and I, go to Boston Pizza for heart shaped pizza. During the day it is off to women's group in the a.m. and then icing cookies with the kids in the afternoon!!

Great ideas! Tonight we are celebrating Vday 'cause my hubby will be with his mom for a cone biopsy on the 14th & 15th. A local museum/culture center is having a comedy dinner theater which my hubby said sounded fun. This was a total shock 'cause he's very introverted:) Thanks Thaleia

Wow Kerry! Over 5000 viewers, thats amazing! Congrats!

Our plans for Valentine's Day are...doing our favorite family pastime. You guessed it, we are going to the Chilliwack Bruin's hockey game. We are taking the whole family out for dinner and then off to Chilliwack for an entertaining evening of hockey. It's a wonderful way to spend time together and doing what we all have a passion for. When we get back and the kids are into bed, I'm sure my special valentine and I will make some time for each other as well.

PS. The Blog Candy is a fantastic idea!!

Hi Kerry! I'm so glad I came across your blog! I love the coaster projects...I've just bought some through another local demo and I get them tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration!
As for Valentine's Day, it's Wednesday, so my daughter has a piano lesson. My hubby and I don't really celebrate Valentine's day. I tend to agree with him that it's more a 'Hallmark Holiday' and I'd like to think that we find little ways all year long to show that we love each other. He's always (well almost always) so sweet that I really don't need anything more!! And we've got a cruise to Mexico coming up next month...so I'd rather save the $$ for that!

My plans for Valentines Day are to volunteer in my son's first grade class and then take care of the kids. It is an early release day at school.

My sister and I are in charge of making lunch for around 135 people who live in the same retirement park as we do. We are doing this to build up a memorial fund for our mother and dad. When we raise enough money, we will purchase something for the park in memory of our parents. Our mother was the first activity director of the park and planned many activities to keep our Winter Texans busy and happy.

Hi Kerry: My husband and I have been married 38 years. I met him when I was 15 and knew from the moment I saw him looking very cool in his work truck that He was the guy for me. I then had to find out who he was and arrange for a place to run into him so I could make my move. I was 15 at the time and he was 19. We had to go together for 5 years until I was 21 and could sign for myself to be married. Our parents were not overly happy about our marriage for totally different reasons. But to this day we are very much still in love and oh so happy. Its Valentine's day just about every day for us. We are going to a hot rod Valentines dance tonit and taking our daughter and her husband as well. Family and lots of love is everything. Hope yours is just as good

Valentine's plans? Haven't even thought about it, kinda hard with 3 kids and an extra (guest) adult living with you. We ARE going to a concert and staying overnight in March... so that's probably as close as it comes to valentine's plans.

I think I'll bake some special dessert (I love to bake!). I should also make some yummy hot cocoa (just saw the recipe on tv!). I'm single and well, I prefer to focus on loving my friends and family, rather than 'that special someone who has yet to turn up!' LOL Thanks for these 'sweets'!
