Olympic good times

hi,
It has been very cool to catch the excitement as the Olympics fast approaches! Tonight is opening ceremonies and for sure my girls and I are watching them on tv. We had the great experience this past Sunday to have the torch go near our house. We also have the Russian Figure Skating practicing at our local ice rink. After swimming lessons we always check them out. It is so amazing in real life to see the triple axles! Here are a few pic's I took that Sunday afternoon. The girls school is really getting into it to with Opening ceremonies on monday, a Winter Sports day and lastly a Closing Ceremonies in 2 weeks. What a great experience that the girls will hopefully always remember! Go Canada!

my new Stampin' area!

Hello!

I'm so excited..I wanted to share with you where my club ladies are going to be stamping tonight! This has been something we've toyed around with for ages...after having my stamping events in our basement suite in November it really made me love having my events out of my kitchen - family area. Our suite was rented in December though so back up to our kitchen for January.....I got to thinking that we really don't use our basement much....old tv, barbies, excersice equipment gathering dust LOL....so my friend Rosella and I last friday moved everything around and Voila...my new stamping area was born! I'm so happy as I was able to set up today while Jake is napping. Plus my kiddies/husband won't be in a mad rush to eat dinner and get the kitchen all ready for stamping.
I was able to borrow some chairs and tables. I put a few things up but will make it more homey/crafty as time goes on.

What do you think?

Happy Stamping!

January club card #2

Hello again,
Here is the 2nd project made at January club.
It was such a super easy card to make. You could easily make a batch of these, using the different sentiments found in the Well Scripted stamp set and it would make a lovely gift!
Stay tuned for some Olympic pic's!
Happy Stampin'
and thanks for dropping by!

club in Jan

Hello!
Wow...life has been busy lately. How about you?
I realized I havn't shared my Jan club projects so here they are!
I was happy with how this turned out. LOVE the new DSP in the Occasions Mini...it has sparkle built right in! I also did 2 techniques with this card - faux icing which I learned about from my monthly Stampin' Success magazine that Demonstrator's get. We also did Paper Piecing on the cupcake holder...(DSP)
I love brown and pink as a colour combo...don't you? You can't go wrong in my opinion :)
Will share more soon! Also pictures from our Olympic festivities we were at this afternoon! FUN!

new clear mount stamps tutorial

Hello!

Well I have sure jumped on the bandwagon with SU's new clear mounted stamps! I only preordered 2 in December. I wasn't sure as I LOVE wood mount. BUTTTTTT my latest order I ordered ALL clear mount. WOWZA!!! CAn you beleive it! I love how little room they take up, plus the thumbnail on the spine of all the images is super!!! Canlook at a glance what I need. Anyway I've loved everything about them but the one thing once in awhile I"ve found is when I clean them on my scrub they come off my clear block. Its hasn't bugged me too much but now that I've read the following tutorial I'll be triming my stickers and avoid this problem.

If you have a moment its worth reading!

With all my Heart

Swap card by Amy. Amy used a cool technique where you stamp using your white craft pad and then rub your Stampin' Pastels over it. (chalks). Very soft and muted look! She used the With All My Heart stamp set on pg 12.
