teacher gifts
Greetings!
Well with the end of June comes the job of making teacher gifts. If I can, I try to make a gift as a small thank you for being wonderful teachers to my 3 girls.
This year I came accross this wonderful idea on SCS. I bought the frames at Michael's and altered them to be a Dry Erase Board!! I'm hoping the teachers can use them on their desk to write quick notes to themselves....Its earth friendly too as they're saving paper!
My only wish is that the Dry Erase markers would have come with prettier lids...LOL! The bold bright lids just don't coordinate with my lovely designer paper!

thank you gift
Well one of my current clubs came to an end in June. I always want to give a little thank you for being in my clubs so this is what I came up for each of the ladies....
Using the Box #2 XL Die on my Big Shot it was easy to make these cute little real red textured cardstock boxes. Inside is a stamp plus of course chocolate :)
I'm so glad most are returning for another year in September...I have a few spaces available if you'd like to join in on the fun!

june club
hello,
So glad you dropped by.
Sorry for the fuzzy pic but wanted to share one of the projects the club ladies made this June. I saw this idea ages ago and filed it away to make one day in the future....well the time came to try it out! I love this card idea....its hard to make out but the cup is made using vellum paper and its rounded out like a cup. There are lemon's in the cup too, behind the straw. The Gable green matt uses the textured plate, creating lots of wee little dots. Lastly a strip of sticky strip is on the top of the cup, sprinkled with dazzling diamonds.
Hope you like :)
The other project the gals made was a paper wallet, complete with faux leather! I forgot to take a picture before I gave it to my Dad so sorry about that.....it was super cool, though and I plan to make more in the future...plus purses and clutches too. I even brought the sewing machine out so they could stitch around the edges and middle.
Stay tuned for more projects I"ve made lately,
Kerry

Scrapbook pages
Greetings!
With permission from my friend, Vickie I"m sharing the scrapbook I helped her create for her adoption profile. It really helped us by using a set colour scheme. We chose Kraft 12x12 as the base, and Bella Rose DSP and its coordinating colours only.
Click on a picture to make it larger.
I've always wanted to try this for a journalling block. We typed out her journalling and for certain, key words I used a different font for them, in a larger font too....then after printing it onto cardstock I rubbed a coordinating chalk over to highlight.

Brayered Roses
Hello ladies (and men???)
Here is the 2nd card my club ladies made in May. It uses the Manhatten Flower embossing folder. For this card though you use the reverse side - not the embossed, raised side. I used the technique that Patty Bennett came up and you can find it here.
The white cardstock is the Shimmery white so it is so pretty in real life.
Also used Baroque Motif - one of my all time favourite, versatile sets.
Enjoy!
