Cork Board

Well, its official. I have 3 full time students now...my youngest daughter started gr 1 today. I think tomorrow will be the test as today was just a short day. It's going to be so quiet around here without all their chatter etc....just my son and me.
Anyway last week I had a date night with Kylie (my 6 yr old) and I asked her what she wanted to do (movies, bowling, dinner etc...) and she said "I want to stamp!"....She really is a demo in the making I think! Anyway it was alot of fun to stamp with her! Here's one of the projects we made. I had picked up some cork sheets at the local dollar store and I wanted to make a cork board. I thought of my scallop die and 'voila' this was created! Kylie made her own as well which she'll later give to her teacher.
BTW I ordered the My Digital Studio this evening so I'm excited to share upcoming digital scrapbooking projects with you! Its a whole new world for me so I"m going to take baby steps - but I'm super excited!
Have a great week,

Staff Appreciation gifts

Hello on this last weekend before school!

This is my 3rd year now as chair of the Staff Appreciation committee at our elementary school. Last year having a newborn and lack of sleep it was enough to get the girls ready for school, let alone anything beyond that.
Today though I was inspired to make welcome back little gifts for each of the staff at our school. Well thankfully it came along quite quickly thanks to my trusty Big Shot and box #2 die!!! Of course my sidekick Kylie was a HUGE help too! She ran all the cardstock thru the Big Shot while I start assembling, then once she was caught up she starting folding the scored lines and putting the small bit of sticky strip needed on the one tab. As you can see I only used my retired 12x12 cardstock. I also used the retired Curly Label stamp set with matching punch. OH, and a non-SU (gasp) stamp that says teacher on it. All in all I think it took us maybe 2 hours start to finish to make 31 of these. Inside are some peanut free chocolate. Tuesday morning I'll put one in each of the teachers mail slots....Hope they feel welcomed back as we sure appreciate them all!

Have a great weekend,

Inside the cup are heart confetti that i've had for ages from the Dollar Store and it worked perfectly for this now Shaker card!
Card size is 4x4. I used some of my new red polka dot ribbon as well.
Have a great weekend!

hI THERE
Glad you could pop by for a peek.
I'm having so much fun with my new holiday mini goodies! Some projects I'm not sharing yet as they are for upcoming classes and clubs but here's a card I made using the new Sweet Treats stamp set in the holiday mini. I love the little cups fit perfectly in the images. You get Christmas ornament , Halloween, a flower, and a Hot Air Balloon. So unique and cute! Its hard to make out but I used my texturz background on the eggplant. (click to enlarge the image)
The new Holiday Mini is now available to order from. You can take a look at it here. You should have by now if you're a regular customer of mine received yours in the mail. If not please let me know and I'll get one to you!

interesting find

Hello! Glad you could drop by!
I have my stampers club this evening so just taking a break from my housecleaning....just cleaned out the fridge, phew.

Thanks to my MIL here is one of the more interesting sites I have seen. Just put your mouse on a city anywhere in the world and the newspaper headlines pop up... Double click and it shows the whole front page. About 580 newspapers from over 80 countries.

Big Shot Hero

hello,

I was doing my catch up on blogs this morning before the kids wake up and I came accross the winning entry for the SU commercial that us demo's could make. You have to watch this video that Linda and her husband Matt made. Her blog is Where the rubber hits the road and you can watch it here. Its only 30 secs or so. What do you think? I thought it was too funny :)

Anyway have a great day!!!

Christmas class first month

Hi Ladies!

Well I had my first Christmas class of 2009...I will be holding this class each month including November...different cards each month.

Its hard to make out but there are dazzling diamonds on both cards...on the small snowflakes, and then on the ornaments.

Enjoy, and hope to see you soon!
