Club projects

Hi there!

Well my club ladies just left. I thought I'd share what they made tonight. This is my club that has run for 3 years so these ladies are pro's. The card is a 'Z' fold card. The pointsetta was made using the 2 tag sized punches. The ornaments were made using the circle scallop punches.

It was a fun, relaxing night. Hard to believe 9 months have passed so quickly! Time flies when you're having fun :)

another week fly's by!

Hi there!
I can't believe its been another week since I last posted! Where does the time fly! Sorry for the MIA....I've had limited time to stamp and when I do stamp its for clubs and classes and I still have those yet to come so can't share them yet....will do though soon!
My friend, and downline Lynn came over friday night so I could help her with some last minute craft show items. She made the cute little magnets in a tin. I stamped the bookmarks using the jumbo paperclips. Hard to make out but I used my ziggy gold marker to stitch around the edges of the 5 petal flower. I made some mini tags as well.....
I also took a pic of the 2 beautiful Christmas cards she brought over to show me. Aren't they lovely!
Anyway here's hoping that I"ll get blogging more often again! Thanks for stopping by!

altered frame

Hi again,

I just wanted to share one of the projects we made at my friend and downline's, Sarah's class I went to last week. It is an altered frame. We used the designer wrapping paper that is available in the Holiday Mini.
I also loved that we used a jumbo eyelet with a rhinestone brad in the middle. Of course, the satin chocolate ribbon is beautiful too! It was such a FUN class, and I enjoyed being a 'customer' and just stamping the night away. Everything was already cut, project was there to copy and it was so relaxing. Will be doing this again for sure!

In Rememberance,

Today in Canada we call this day, Rememberance Day. I believe in the States its called Veterans Day?
Anyway here is a poem that is always recited today, and one that sums it all up.

In Flanders fields...
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scare heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe;
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

I am thankful for all those men and woman that fought for our freedom. My Great Grandfather died during WW1, and both my grandfathers fought during WW2. My Grandmother who lived in England at the time worked for the Ministry of Transportation and often worked where Winston Churchill would come in. He would always say 'hello deary' to my Grandmother, she said. I'm sad that my Grandparents have all passed away as this day was such a special day to thank them. I pray we never forget.....

Halloween Night

Hello!
Well we just got our girls to bed after a very fun night for them! They had such a good time going around our neighbourhood. I love how I can visit with all the families that come by. Chris took the girls out this year and I stayed home with Bailey and handed out candy and chips.
Thankfully the rain held off and it was a cool, crisp evening. The girl had many layers on and they were warm. The photo of Mikayla and Megan is just before school this morning so they didn't have to dress warm then..... For Sharpay Megan copied a picture of her from a music cd she owns....same colours on the outfit.
Anyway I hope you all had a safe and fun evening. Don't forget to brush your teeth :)

Pumpkin Patch

Hello!

It dawned on me that I hadn't shared a few pic's of us at the Pumpkin Patch that we took last week. It was such a beautiful, fall day. I love the pic of Mikayla and Megan as their faces are priceless! You can just feel the weight of that pumpkin...can't you? Its hard to make out but Kylie is in a wagon pulled by Chris in the other photo....
Our pumpkins are all carved and ready to go for tomorrow. I toasted the pumpkin seeds today finally and they turned out yummy.

Leave me a note to let me know what your kids are dressing up as. Its fun to see!
Mikayla is Laura Ingles (Little House on the Prairie)
Megan is Sharpay from High School Musical
Kylie is a princess
